bbi at SDCC? What the heck are these?
Hey guys, I've read in a few reports that bbi was a virtual no-show (again), but I found these over at TNI and I don't know what to make of them? Can anyone confirm/deny that these were on display? Take a look:
German mech?
Another mech
Russian mech?
and then theres this one:
Tiger 1
German mech?
Another mech
Russian mech?
and then theres this one:

WTF? That is one SWEET looking Tiger
Is that 1:18? Could we please get some confirmation on that - where are those photos from?
And artillery and a halftrack
Oh man, please be so....

And artillery and a halftrack

It does here
http://www.merit-intl.com/month/afv-35s27.htm
but $45 for smaller than 1:18.....It better be real nice....
And I was so psyched for that artillery...

I wouldn't rule out the 1/18th scale. In the first picture you see a 1/6th figure under the mech. I set up a model and the figure in that mech from the same angle of my model looks to be 1/18th. And the Tiger that digger found looks different than the one next to the mech.
If I would have to guess, I would say it would be tied to that future stuff they shown us earlier. If not 1/18th scale I have no clue, but it looks bigger than 1/32th with the 12" figure below. I be sure I would have to get another angle of the display.
The Stuff looks cool, what ever the stuff is.

Freaky, but if that's what the "future" line is aiming for I'm all about that. Great Star Wars fodder but it makes an intriguing stand-alone line too. Makes me think of those photo-shopped pics of AT-AT's into a German armor line from a while back...
Be nice if that stuff was 1:18. If so, count me in. It'd also be nice if BBI would get off the proverbial pot and actually announce something, discuss some stuff... Between BBI and 21st having a blast jerking around collectors by keeping little contact going, having interest in toy lines you either can't find at retail or which aren't out yet even is a real drag on one's patience.

Hopefully they will work more on real stuff!

I'm more into their realistic military stuff...if i wanted sci-fi, i go with Hasbro, or Mcfarlane or any other into the future toy maker...
but i guess everyone has his own preferences, so god luck to those who like the futureline.
if it wa me, give me some more military figures and armor in 1/18.

bah
Ranger - I second that
As for the guys at the Merit booth, you should have said they pulled their heads out of their asses and said it wasn't ready. Those guys have proven to know nothing about bbi in the past year or so. The Corsair could be on shelves and they would say it wasn't ready yet....

You can get better recon at BCA
They have pics of one of the new bbi P-51s - the pics aren't great but it's nice. They shouldn't have been so stingy on the catch-phrase though - it looks lousy

Did some checking around and these aren't related to BBi at all. These *are* released by Merit International, and is a line of 1/6 figures and 1/24 figures, dioramas, and vehicles. They are based on a comic series called DUST by Paolo Parente: http://www.dustgame.com/
The premise is that the Nazis won WW2 using alien technology.
They're rather pricey but I may order one of the vehicles, they look amazing. Wondering about why they went with 1/24 scale though. Already such a large market for 1/18. Though it seems to be a game as well so maybe that's it.
Here's a couple reviews of the 1/6th scale figures: http://dawgestyle.com/dust.htm
