TRU find...

I went in our local TRU over the weekend with my daughter and as she kept pointing out all the stuff she wanted , I kept to my guns and told her "No, we're not gonna buy anything. We're just looking". When she was finished looking at her stuff I shlept on over to the 1/18 diecast cars...nuttin' new there (no big surprise), then down a few isles to the military stuff. WHOLEY COW!!! a BBI "Killer" for $39.99.
So, I had some splaining to do to my daughter as to why Dad could get something but she couldn't

P.S. We stopped at the golden arches on the way home and she was happy.

Don't feel bad. Was with my three-year-old and had a bunch of Anime figures I was going to pick up for diorammas.

"Daddy, you put those back until you can clean your junk room!"

After a few minutes of trying to rationalize with her, I realized she was right and left them there.

I picked them up with a 20% discount coupon TRU offered last month I think. The regular price of the plane is $39.99.

I was so surprised to even find the plane there. Our TRU hasn't had any 1:18 planes of any sort for well over 1 1/2 years. That was the amazing part for me.

Visited a local TRU today and they restocked the P-51's and Kiowas. Had 6 of each.

Couldn't resist anymore - bought a P51 from TRU. What was interesting is in addition to the normal Power Team F-18 in the generic box, they now have the PTE Blackhawk with a four man crew and really cheezy stickers. May have always been there, just never noticed.

Our local TRU today started clearing out all the Star Wars figures and related toys and had quite a few items at 30% off green tagged items. FOV, BBI and GI Joe stuff sadly were not green tagged. Shucks!

I finally saw the M-41 marked down 30% at TRU. That still makes them more expensive than Wally. If they hang around until 75% and pick a some up.

So, I went into the local TRU looking for the paras. And, to my suprise, I found a mint XD Lou IV in the box. I asked the stockman what gives and he said they are clearing out the warehouse. It might do good for everybody to make a TRU check because you never know what treasures you might find.

JC, NJ has plenty of M-41's at 30% off until Dec 05.

Stocked with Black Hawks, BBI Shermans and Super Humvee at full price.

Gotta love those old TRU's.

My 2 TRU's on SI,NY have nadda.
