Badcat: 1/18 " three new toolings"

Post by dragon53 » Wed May 12, 2010 7:25 am

From Badcat's latest email:

"1:18 fans may have something to cheer about later this year as we have credible sources telling us of three new toolings now in development. We'll post Preorders for these pieces once we're given the green light."

I wish BBI would rerelease the f-16 and F-18 with new markings for new collectors and old collectors alike. i just dont always have 300 bucks to blow on a plane...

If somebody knows bad cats people they should get them to suggest it because i would buy at least 2 of each.

Wow, that is a vague statement. 1:18 what? Aircraft, armor, both? Personally, I hope it's WWI or WWII aircraft. Maybe Admiral is going to release some of the aircraft they were working on.

well, i would hunch that one is the KT and maybe another the jagdpanther. The third could be the jsi su-27, although badcat did say they were dropping jsi.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

I have a feeling even if they were re-released, they would probably be near the 300 mark because of the economy and the days of cheap (anything) are gone forever. The F16 and F18 are still HUGE compared to something like the P40

KT and maybe another the jagdpanther.
Two $100 tanks at the same time from the same company? Doubt that.

Well, if that's the case it doesn't impact me much at all. I only collect aircraft, and the SU-27 is out of my price range. I'm still trying to figure out how to scrape up the cash for the F-14. May have to sell my Max and Myria Robotech Masterpiece or Yamato Valkaries. At least the armor guys have something to look forward to.

don't do it your robotech stuff is the bomb, i know have like 10 or 12 Yamoto 1/48 which is more masterpiece then the masterpiece stuff which i have too (except volume 1) but i do have the other 2-6. people complain about the f-14 way too much to sacrifice your sweet and awesome robotech stuff. tho you could prob get 150-200 bucks each for em if you are willing to wait for the buyer to show on ebay it depends on the character, anyway i would not do it if i were you.

I personally wouldn't mind the arrival of the KT and the Jagd even at $100 a pop. I'd get multiples of both.

Boy that sounds familiar...and redundant. I'll believe it when I see it.

I hope they come out with the King Tiger soon....cause I'm spending the $$$$$ I saved for it on Pickelhaube customs... :P
Which isn't such a bad thing. Just like to see a KT in this scale.

BLAC-DRAGON_ONE:

From Badcat's blog:

"Finally, there's some cool, solid rumors floating around about new 1:18 toolings. I've been sworn to secrecy but with any luck we may have some new pieces before year's end. Fingers crossed!"

I'm pulling for Admiral on this one. They announced a fantastic line up of aircraft before going into hibernation. Not to mention the two Dauntless's I paid for oh so many years ago.

I expect one to be JSI's P-40 repaint....

and I hope for Admiral's SBD. That would be awesome. 8)
As I only collect aircraft, I will pass on the KT or Jagdpanther.
We still need more new 1/18 aircraft!

FIGHTIN:

I would eliminate the JSI P-40 repaint because Badcat is talking about "new toolings" which I assume disqualifies repaints.

I too was hoping it would be the aircraft Admiral was working on.

Maybe someone will surprise us though.

Alright, I have no problem with that. I already have a P-40 I like

Ok, I hope we can expect Admiral's SBD or Skyraider.

Wasn't Jason talking about possible WWI aircraft a while back?
