POST JAPANESE, MARINE AND BBI FIGURE FINDS & DISCUSSION

Post by 75th Ranger » Wed Jun 29, 2005 6:25 am

To all personnel:

The Japanesse are coming and I wonder where are the Marines?????
Will this be another Pearl Habor?
This time General W. Mart has not sent the necessary troops to the US theater of operations and the nation may be caught once again by surprise!
My Battle of the Bulge soldiers are battle weary and not in enough quatities anymore...we need replacement ASAP!
or would it be that the USS BBI will end up bringing the replecement sooner?
We need the replecement available NOW & in NUMBERS in our area!

inform of any new developments to:

Hey Ranger,
The Marines are available online for about $5.50 each - that's about what they are at WM with tax so if you need 'em just find a place with cheap shipping

I haven't been able to find Marines online for less than $6 each before shipping... And when they were $6 it was a sale that lasted all of a day when I was away so I couldn't put the order in... Bummer.

I too feel your pain on this 75th... My US and German BotB guys are really getting tired of fighting each other. :) I could use another group... And I don't have any marines so far... The figures just continue getting the shaft in the line I guess.

BBI's stuff looked sweet, I just wish it'd arrive. It looked very useful for winter and other types of dioramas... It wasn't stuck to winter though which looked cool. Now if we could just get it, and all these other figures!

:D

If you want a complete set (what are the chances you would find that on the pegs?) they have that for $6 each, no doubles.

Don't go crazy waiting & scouring WMs - it's bad for the nerves. :?

with the marines being available at BCA; the WM sightings may be a moot point. 1 of the WM's here in atlanta has a batch of them- several pilots and diff patton figures included. there are about 3-4 of each of the marine figures and less of the two bob german figures. i'm quite sure i'm the only one checking out the selection regularly since the figures never change position on the top shelf, believe me..

Rescue mission

Post by 75th Ranger » Fri Jul 15, 2005 9:46 pm

Ranger's rescue mission:
As we went to rescue one broken US Halftrack around the WALLY AO sector.
We encountered a heavy volume of enemy resistance. In fact they were the 1/18 Japannessee Infantry division....we open fire and reacted to contact in a battle drill manner. The actions were performed according to the Ranger's handbook and we were able to supress and assault the enemy "boxified".....thier manager surrendered and we were able to capture 12 Japanesse troops.
to our accomplishment, we were also able to recover our US halftrack.

As I stare at the Japanese figures I noticed Pvt Higashiyama has 2 extra hands - and one is an extra emptly left - do you think this is for Digger's flag hand? :) That would be nice. 8)

I can be a bit slow - are you saying that the Japanese figures (in my inherent political incorrectness, I had to restrain myself from using a shorter, plural version of the word Japanese) starting to show up at WM?

Digger Hand

Digger's flag hand does fit the Japanese Pvt. and color matches the other hand pretty well. Mix and Match time! :)

I found the 6 Japanese figures for sale already on E-Bay. The bid is starting at $39.99. The seller is from S.D. The E-Bay item is #5987634942. How much did they sell for at CC?

They were $30 for 6 at CC (retail), or $25 with Area 21 promotion.

I am dissappointed with the scalpers on this one frankly - I would have thought that enterprising fellows would have scooped up Japs at WM and already have them on ebay for $10 a pop BiN. They would sell as new stuff always does before distribution spreads.

The mistake the guy mentioned above made was having a 7 day auction - half the people interested will have found them at WM by then! It's not like CC had special packaging or anything.....

If he had $50 BiN the set would be gone, guaranteed.

Always happy to do my part, digger! Have never seen any of the other figures up here, though, so I may end up buying them online myself.
