anyone who missed out on the JSI Tomcat, or didn't want to pay the high price tag, here is a good alternative.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... duct=11033

Just over $100 shipped. Spot on 1/18 and light as a feather for hanging. Does not appear to come with any ordnance but it does have the pylons for the phoenix missiles.

Anyone interested in a close to scale Skyraider, here is a nice one. It's 1/20, about the same size as the XD Stuka. Nicely painted and finished and a good deal on price.

Use coupon code: pricepickle to get a further 6% off.

CH-53D Sea Stallion. Text says it's 800mm from main rotor shaft to tail rotor shaft. By scaling it out it appears this is somewhere between 1/17.3 scale and 1/18 scale. Around 45 or 46 inches long.

Be about $200 with shipping, as a guess, maybe a bit more or less. Not sure how difficult it is to buld and does not come with rotors or rotor hubs, just the fuselage.

I fly any helicopter I can get my hands on, ive kind of moved out of the R/C planes nitro prices are a bit much so I've been more into electric helicopters I do still have my 1/6th r/c planes though their not going much more than collecting dust anymore.

F-15i RA'AM with Israeli markings. For those who long for the JSI one that's probably not going to happen, this is an alternative at least. 1/17.6 scale. Unusual choice of markings for an r/c plane. RA'AM's may become very topical soon, if Israel attacks Iran as these are the planes they'll be doing it with.

The F15-E doesnt look bad either, but hard to tell the texture of the foam from the pics.

it probably won't be as smooth as your Stealth Fighter. Most are like the texture of a coffee cup. The underside needs painting in a light grey colour but otherwise the paint job looks pretty good. Can't find them anywhere except in Germany right now, for big bucks. But it just came out recently so i imagine in a few months it will be readily available and for less.

here's a sweet one coming out soon. YF-23. Not sure on the scale yet, looks to be between 1/16 and 1/18, judging by the size of the ping pong table it's sitting on.

if anyone is interested in a 1/18 Hawker Hurricane, here is an option. It's actually 1/17.5 but that's less than 3% overscale, so not really noticable. They are made by an obscure company called Nicesky and for some reason, the only place they are available is in Germany, even though Nicesky is a chinese company.

Anyway, it looks quite nice, the only thing missing is a tail wheel. The best german dealer i found is the one in the link below. Seems like a good guy and had the best price, which was 119EURO shipped, which is around $150. So it ain't cheap, but i'm a sucker for this plane and it will look great beside DWK and NKK.

Probably beyond what I want to spend and probably too large, but I've been daydreaming about this.

The E-flite Albatros
The only thing I know about RC planes is I should never fly them. Is it possible to set one up solely for display without having to invest in all the servos and maybe just a used or dummy electric motor?

I know there's a little bit smaller foam version, for about half the price but this is just so nicely detailed.

Really, you just leave it them out. YOu get a balsa wood frame that is covered and is ready to accept the electronics. That's about it. You don't want it to fly, don't put them in.

I will be getting that Eflight fokker! Been wanting one!!!

Forgot, it would need a motor to hold the prop. But some wood dowel and glue could cold a prop!

Has anyone ever ordered from ROI Imports? I purchased the FSK Ju-88 from them and am waiting for it. Just wondered if anyone had any good experiences with them or bad ones?

I would like to see some pics. I was thinking of getting one of these based on your findings and any pics you had, but they only have the mosquito left in stock. So FSK is out of business?

Can anyone give me an idea how this foam is going to hold up in a non-climate controlled garage in the Midwest?
