Good news for HL 1:16 KV-1 owners, a conversion kit for a KV-85 is now available. Check out these pics, the site is in German but the pics need no translation. The site is kinda goofy and won't let me link directly to the pics, but at the main page http://www.mmodell.de/ you'll see "Profiline KV-85... and in tiny little letters below that you'll see the word "Weiter..." click on that and voila you'll see the pics, and it looks pretty good. 8)

The outfit that makes the kit also offers several other conversion kits for HL tanks including a Brummbar, Stug III Ausf. D, Jagdpanzer IV, and Bergepanzer III. I might go for the Brummbar, it looks cool. 8)

Here's one pic of the KV-85 to whet your appetite....

Good question... I'm trying to get some information on price/availability from the guys at RCU, which is where I got this news to begin with. I don't read German very well, so I can't decipher much at the site... :? There is one place I know of that sells the conversion kits for HL 1:16 http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/ but he doesn't have the KV-85 yet, probably because it's just been announced. I've bought some stuff from him before on ebay and the quality and service were first rate. I'll post more info as it becomes available.

Wow, that's tempting. They should be around $200 like all the other kits. Where is the hull MG? The kit will surely need a piece to cover it like in that picture.

Yup, this is a must have for me ... regardless of the cost. I already have collected the Tamiya electronics for the HL and then I need the drive train too for the Tamiya gearbox.

These Profiline kits are very well made and the details are nice and crisp. I need to get some HL tanks to assemble the ones I already have now.
