I have had a few bad months in the real world,,but I have been wanting to post something,,please no paint critics,,if I wanted acurately painted models I would have stayed in tamiya 1/35 scale,,,these are toys.....

note to century 21,,,thank's again for disregarding us modern and vietnam era fans,,,the motorworks m113 was not what I have waited 4 years for,....the junk you put on the sides was totally un-necessary.
Also we wanted a modern duece and a half...

Great to have you back we've missed you around here tomd. Good looking stuff, as usual.

Hang in.....if the Platoon line ever gets going we could see some new Vietnam goodies, i'm hoping they'll eventually release the PBR that has been kicking around in prototype form for nearly five years now.

Tderespino, nice pics! No critic here. There have been a few members who are / were into Vietnam and modern who have left collecting 21st due to there lack of product in these fields. Let them know (21st) how you feel about the lack of Nam stuff, I know it would sell!
I hope all is well, its good to hear from you!!!!

Good work! I like the 21c M-113, but the gear and figures were junk. A few added Build-a-Rama accessories, some paint & putty work, and it then becomes a pretty nice model.

Tom, I always like your work

I like your stuff, and it seems like we have the same kind of taste regarding figurs and time periods.

did you used the marine figures to make new Nam guys?
if yes how?
take care.
HOOAH!

Thank you all for the great respectful comments...

Figures,,,anyone who knows me has seen me cut and paste body parts from several figures to make one fully articulated custom figure..

the basic figure I use is crosshairs from GI joe spytroops.. I cut the forearms and replace them with BBI to get the hand articulation,, then I do the same with the lower leg,,, My Nam figures are from GI Joe Hummer drivers,, I have 4,,, I also added, hand and boot articulation from BBI figures. I mixed up some humbrol Matt paint to match OD jungle fatigues,,,but I hate to paint,,,I kept trying to play with them befor they dried.

I could have patched the holes in the M113 and re-painted,, I might get my son or nephew to do it..I HATE PAINTING!!!!!

I like to play with my stuff,,, set them up and re-use figures with different vechiles....

the Duce and a half is nice,,, was hard to cut it up,,I will settle for the WW2 for now, but I would like to have a column of trucks on the road to Saigon,,,as well as a convoy of modern trucks on the road to bagdad...
filled with custom troops of course...
