Most definitely! Sign me on for one if you decide to go through with the project.

It should not be too difficult to make. You could mould the wheel to match that on the Hasbro Indy bike. The wheels on the bike are solid and while not 100% accurate, it would make it easier on your end to cast... The bike seems as though it was designed for an eventual sidecar as there are mounting points on the right side of the bike. These consist of a hole (presumably for some sort of peg to fit into) and a peg on the underside of the bike that some sort clip on the sidecar aparatus could hook onto.

I started on one but it took a backseat to the Dragon Wagon. Here is a pic with everything set together, nothing glued. It will need a better MG mount among other things.

Does anybody know what kind of motorcycle that the Indy version is supposed to replicate ?

i think it's supposed to be a bmw R75 but it's fairly crude.

The sidecars were interchangeable with different bikes, so the type of motorcycle isn't all that important.

I'm still amazed that after 9 1/2 years, nobody has come out with a german sidecar combo.

Count me in!!!
I too tried to use the PTE sidecar with Indy and his Dad.

Mr. T told Indy he had Pity for the Fool that made his cycle and sidecar.

But...since they were in Nazi occupied territory Mr. T had to ask for a ride anyway...

Hi guys,

I have a friend who custom-made a lot of his Indiana Jones figs and vehicles. He's currently building the IJ tank from The Last Crusade, complete with interior details. You can check out his website here:

http://home.comcast.net/~IndianaJonesToys/index.htm

This also has other sister sites: 1 is dedicated mostly to armor, and the other 1 has Star Wars custom figs. Feel free to check it out.

Cheers!

Cast it, and they shall come!

I'm interested. I have been making a template from the 1/6 sidecar and scaling it down. Like this one!

Was going to make it out of sheet styrene and steal the wheels off of another Indy bike.

Pickel, do you keep a list of all the customs you've made? :)

I was thinking that just like the SSHQ 1:18 database of retail 1:18 items, it would be neat to see customs models (not just repaints) you and others have made to essentially expand the hobby.

Like everybody else, I am a depends on price. Obviously I know that a side car would cost more than the original retail of the bike ... not a problem.

Everything I have made I have showed on the forum in one way or another.

As far as the sidecar is concered I am thinking around $30 for the kit and that will have the spare and spoked type replacement wheels for the main bike. How does that sound ?

8) Replacement wheels for the bike and a sidecar? That would be a deal.
Oh, if you need an Indy bike for the project let me know; I could send you one.

I'd be interested I think PH... Especially if you're including 2 spoked wheels for the bike itself.

I will be very interested in this, as I said earlier  I bought a spare Indy bike once upon a time for precisely this purpose and look forward to the chance to put it to good use 8)
