How will the ammo boxes attached to the side car? Do they just glue in place? Do you have a photo of the nodel with the attached?

They glue/hang on the front bonnet of the side car..

I got on google, looking at all possible pictures of this project and I can say for sure I am pumped!! There are some post war and wartime pictures on there if you need any references.

Now, paint it grey or to be a DAK version and ... figures!!! What figures will work with these?

Panther F, Pickelhaube figured the Indy bike to be 1:15.25 scale so 1:18th figures should work fine with the bike and sidecar. Just remember 1:18th figs never sit well....due to the sculpted uniforms and articulation. That's why there are exact o knives and grinders.
I'm looking forward to these custom sidecars, I just don't understand why hasbro didn't follow through and make them and market the two trucks to the 1:18th collectors.

I have made about 12 so far but I am slow with the ammo boxes. I made the master ammo box WITH THE HANDLE ON TOP . Moulded that and cast about 4 of them. That is an 8 hr.process . 2 hrs for half the box ( the RTV takes 2 hrs to set ). 2 hrs for the other half . Then the resin takes an hour to cure. So the total of 8 hrs. I was busy pouring th car parts as that was going on.

A regular figure fits in the car with ease. When I get the time I was going to play with a figure and see what is involved with making it fit easier on the bike.

I have already Dremald one to fit on the bike but it was a lot of work. I really had to thin out the inner thighs of the figure.

I think there is a way to make the legs work to fit on the bike I will experament this weekend.If my idea works you could make any figure work.

There are a few guys who want me to assemble and paint the car with the customers supplied Indy bike.This is something I need to think about.It is tough right now just trying to get product out.

The parts are coming out great with minimal flash. But there is flash between the spokes but it is tissue paper thin. It is real easy to cut it out with a sharp #11 Xacto blade . I also have a small nail sanding board that I swiped from my wife that I cut the ends to a point. About the shape of a pencil and I am able to sand the spokes smooth.

That I think will be the major work on this kit. But it takes about an hr or so . You should be able to sand all 8 halfs with realtive ease.

I am also using brass in the cross bar , pintel stubs and gun support so it can hold up under use.

The kit has 23 parts to it if you count the 4 boxes.

I figured it would, just thought maybe one particular figure or brand was better.

I ain't afraid to break out the dremel. He he!

Pickel,what did you do to remove the rear wheel of the bike? I see on page 5 pic 8 a small hole left of center in the drive housing, is that how you got to the pin?

Yes that is about a 1/16 hole maybe bigger. There is a tiny factory hole there but it was just too small for my nail to fit . I used a medium sized finish nail with the point sanded off to tap out the pin.

You can go back and fill the hole with some putty and no one will be the wiser. Or just leave it. With the car in place it will be hard to see.

Also I drilled as you can see the front to accept the front of the side car frame as well.

I am pretty sure that I have all of the orders filled and I do have an extra REJECT SIDE CAR SET.

It has all the pieces but a few large holes that need to be puttied in all the parts. The wheel spokes are fine but the brake hubs have a large air bubble in each one. With a lot of TLC and work this can be taken care of with no problem.
I will also throw in a set of REJECT ammo boxes.

$20 with about $5 for shipping. First one to pm me gets it .
