Does anyone know where I can find artillery and mortars in 1/18th scale? I've got a sand bag pit going on but it doesn't look right. I think it's missing some heavy machine guns and mortar launchers.

If you want WWII stuff, i'm not really sure where to find them but there seems to be a possible solution if BBI releases their WWII figure line in August 2005.
In regards to Modern, BBI figures and accessories sets have nice mortars with base plates and even rounds nice quality.
Also PT and Eversparkel have some basic mortar accessories. so check them out.
hope that it helps.

At this point I think you are in the wrong scale for mortars and artillery for WW2. 1/32 has artillery and 1/6 has everything. Being a favorite of mine, I have mortars, heavy and light mg's, bazookas and artillery of all sizes. More modern stuff available is recoilless rifles (57nn, 75mm, 106mm).
New is a German mortar and TWO awesome Nebelwerfer's made by TWO competing companies (DID & Dragon). One might be metal. Same two companies are both releasing German motorcycles with sidecars.

1/6 guys are in heaven.
Can you imagine, such neat stuff by competing companies (more than the Sherman and the Mustang).
Sure would like to see more of this stuff in 1/18.

For the 21st Century Toys Marine pics contest, I made a motar pit using sand, wood and a modern motar I cut down to look more from WWII.
It may still be up on their website.
The motar came from the modern BBI set.
Good luck!

the joe mountain howitzer is a pretty good looking and well sized rendition of the 105mm. Just needs to have new larger wheels. With some extra effort it can become an excellent artillery piece.
