At this point an HL KV-II does not exist, because it hasn't been released yet. I have not heard a single word about a release date for an upcoming Heng Long KV-II over at RC Universe, and believe me, it would be all over the tankers forum at RCU if it was coming soon. The Tamiya full option kit would run about $700 but you might find one for somewhat less on ebay.

Granted there has been no official announcement from HL but it seems extremely likely they'll do it and it would be most surprising if they didn't and soon...ie this year.

With All Go on the seen i think a 1/18 T-34 is very likely now; may take a year or two but i feel AG is in tune with the collectors more so then 21c could be because of the WM thing and every armour collector wants a T-34. A KV/JS series tank is much less likely in 1/18 though so i may have to pick up 1/16 versions of those. A KV2 or ISU152 would be pretty hard to resist.

It would be in All Go's best interest, i think, to make a clear statement about their intentions for 1/18 armour. Especially non german armour (ie russian and other nations) because all the silence and uncertainty is just causing more and more people to switch over to 1/16 tanks. And those are lost customers; many of whom will be lost for good, as they're unlikely to switch back to 1/18 after the outlay of cash on 1/16.

So a plain statement saying what kind of plans they have for the next few years may help protect their customer base. I know it goes against the grain of all the hush-hush top secret stuff but i think they have more to worry about in losing customers from silence than they do from the competition scooping them. Neither FOV or JSI are showing any real interest in 1/18 armour.

Agreed. At least that's what the "grapevine" at RCU seems to think, and they generally have their fingers on the pulse of these things. If I had to guess on a timeline though, it would be between late fall and the end of the year, but we can always hope for an earlier date.

I agree - the silent treatment does not help - my money didnt go to 1:16 though - more like starwars and guns
