Hi guys, like to check with you if the BBI's F4U Corsair Checkerboard version considered a rare piece when compared to the other versions released by BBI?

Isn't that one a re-issued paint scheme? Does some one know for sure?

I want to say that it
was somewhat rare, but not really at the moment. BBI has reissued the piece and it is currently available at many small retailers for around $70. I like the scheme and the plane can sort of fit the bill as a Korean-era Corsair. However, it is totally an airshow bird, right down to the civilian number code underneath the stabilizers

Small Joes has it for $54.95 for anyone who is looking to buy one.

Don't forget that BBi also has the WWII USMC Checkerboard too.
