Looks like the landing gear on this JSI P40 (prototype?) is backwards! (Picture from Merit website of the 2010 American International Toy Fair)

The wheels on the 21st Century P-40 can spin all the way around. These guy that set this up has them turned the wrong way.

We may have some more variations in 21st production as with the Spitfire.
I checked my two P 40 Warhawks and the landing gear on both of mine are the same; that is when the landing gear is down the wheels will only move 90 degrees from the stowed in wing position to forward the way they'd be on the ground, like this pic

lmao, no need to explain why we got spotted tomcats.

To be fair, that wasn't up Sunday during the show. Only the Tomcat was available during regular show hours Sunday.
Also, if the #'s on those links are right, that wasn't Toy Fair in the U.S., and may have been from UK or Euro Toy Fair.

The landing gear strut has a spring inside to allow for compression. when compressed the wheel will spin 360. When the strut is extended only 90.

Wow, a hurrihawk. Talk about asking for it. JSI really needs to be on their toes right now, dumb mistakes like that ain't helping.

It just goes to show that these people have no idea what they are selling! With all the global middle men between concept and production and marketing it's like the telephone game...
Somehow they put the F-104's wings on upside down at the last show....

Good Grief.
This certainly isn't inspiring me with much confidence about JSI's "quality control"
As simple mistake, but it does show that these representatives really have no knowledge about their product.

Where's the facepalm emoticon?
Upsidedown wings, Spots, goofed landing gear....where does it end?
A company that produced plastic jars made the largest 1/18 model in history with no experience what so ever. Who's gonna make the F-15E, the "ThighMaster" factory???

Uh that's the sad part, they do have experience, plenty. They've been a factory for 1/18 for several years.
What's the deal with the upside Starfighter wings anyway?

Maybe the JSI factory is the one that we had all the QC issues with..
Obviously, these guys are manufacturers and NOT researchers..

You are right and our bad for not fixing it at the show after getting the sample from the Toy Fair in Germany. Thank you for pointing it out.
We have caught the mistake when we took more photos at our office before returning the P-40 to Hong Kong.

Sorry, I am not sure which F-104 you are referring to.
Did you mean the JASDF F-104 J on display at Hong Kong Toy Fair?
They do have wings with white surfaces facing up.

This one my friend... I'm not even sure how they forced the wings in like that without breaking the tabs...lol!

All is well and in good humor as long as the production model doesn't end up like that! (p.s. Still looking forward to a re-release of the BBI F-18!!)

That might be a bit off topic, but that Messerschmitt surely does look nice. As well as the remastered F-104. Very nice paint scheme and weathering.
