I just saw this while browsing Unimax's website, it looks like Unimax is going to be making S.W.A.T. team and firefighter figures. The 1:18 S.W.A.T. team figures looks quite nice, but the 1:72 scale SWAT figures are repainted U.S. 4th Infantry Division figures. There's also a repainted 1:72 Black Hawk.

Nice. Thanks for the link... Pretty neat looking stuff, and I'm always in for new figures.

Always a great idea, should be a winner. Facts are. Won't sell. Waste of time and money. Way too many Chinese juck factories doing the same thing.

Yeah, possible issue, plus this idea is not exactly new - both BBI and InToyz produced the SWAT figures already. I wouldn't exactly call this innovative. But, the figures look fairly nice, I suppose they plan to put these into Target? They will probably do OK there.

Lanard made one, although they are not currently producing it. It was rather strange looking, not like anything I've seen in the U.S., possibly it was modeled after something European?

I have seen others in stores that look approx. 1:18 scale, more traditional U.S.-style, although they do not necessarily have opening cab doors and other features that might be wanted for play/display with 1:18 scale figures.

Target sells one in their Bargain Toy section, they usually have it in stock around the hollidays.

I think it is due to the rising prices of various name brand toys, Target has been relying more on Unimax to fill in for affordable toys, like the conversion of FOV to Bravo Team, and the FearLess Forces line.

This is the best looking modernish fire truck I could find. Too bad it's 1/16. Looks pretty cool though....

My son has this and the figures are 1/18, its a little under scale, but it would be perfect.

Homeland Heroes will probably show up around June, like last year when pictures of the Delta Force and Navy SEALs came up in February.

Been digging around, and found this document; http://www.ci.oceanside.ca.us/pdf/7-18-2007_SR_5.pdf
Homeland Heroes seems to have been in production a long time ago.

As for a 1:18 fire truck, Unimax was actually going to make one:

I wonder if they got a SWAT vehicle in the works?

I was bummed these were NOt on display at Toy Fair over the weekend. I was really hoping to get some snazzy pics of them just to have something new to look at. Unfortunately, it was all original modern and WW2 vehicles and figures fo rthe most part.

Did you ask questions about the Homeland Heroes line? Where they would be sold at, prices, future plans?

They didn't really elaborate on them. They just acknowledged they're "coming out to various retailers soon".

We have a unimax gallery on our site but there was ZERO that would really interest anyone here except perhaps better looks at some of the 1:24 RC tanks they're putting out. They were pushing these a bit and said they'd be for online.
