King Tiger & Judtiger
Just came back from a WM recon in Perth Amboy, NJ. Only 21c (Motorworks) on shelves were two 1/32 King Tigers and two 1/32 Judtigers. No 1/18 and of course no 1/6.
What cool vehicles. Why can't 21c scale up these 1/32 vehicles to our 1/18?
I know chances are slim to none for 1/18 vehicles as neat as these but I can ask can't I?

So many 32x vehicles would be so cool in 1:18 - The Kingtiger & Jagdtiger, the Panzer III, the Wirblewind & Mobelwagon, the SDK-222 car, the 88mm gun & 8-ton prime mover, the Jadpanther & Stug IV, not to mention the M-18 and M-5 tanks. I would assume it could be done easily, and if they include interiors, then 21c would have any competition beat!

The last three or four times at Walmart I've had the two new 32X tanks in my hands and would have bought them if not for that little "Do you remember how much money you've spent lately?" voice echoing in my head.
Yeah, those would be incredible in 1:18, especially in diecast. But it would be nice to see some of the other pieces first. If not the 88, how about the ME262.

Armor is why 32x is so tempting....
You will see a King Tiger in 1:18.
And a 110 by the end of the year is pretty bold....there are a bunch of planes on tap before that and we're running out of months....

21st C always gives a round about time frame on their projects, And some projects take several years if they actually produce them. The problem is we dealers dont really know when things come out untill we get the pre-order form for them. Walmart already have the king tiger and jadgtiger out. But for the rest of us dealers wont get them for another 2 months or so. And we havnt even seem the pre-orders for those yet.

They are very new, within the past 2-3 weeks. Check out the 1:32 forum and there has been alot of discussion about them. A couple weeks ago, they were going for at least 2-3 times retail on ebay! I have the Kingtiger and it is an excellent release. One of the better 32x German vehicles. Like most of the other 32x tanks it has no interior, but still looks darn good. Considering that FOV makes one with probably fewer opening hatches for twice the price, the 32x vehicles are a bargain!
You may also consider picking up a 32x Jagdpanther or the M-113. Don't mean to tempt you too much to other aspects of this hobby, but there is a great 1:32 armor selection.

saw the jagdtiger 1/32 last week in the military hobby store here in adelaide australia. yes nice piece, but i resisted. still holding out for any or all of them to be upsized to 1/18. i just bought the whole range of 'king & counrty' ancient egyptians for $1500 au, which would have been spent with 21st century if there were any new items. (other than planes, 9 is enough)

Normandy, I've been tempted also As a 1:18 armor guy, what say you about those 32x pieces now that you got them ?

King Tiger
Digger, I think there great but small. just kidding. The detale is very nice, the King Tiger is in the 3 color Ambush scheme and its done correctly. The Jagdtiger is painted in the 3 color green, darkyellow and redbrown scheme.
The one thing I don't care for is the paint job on the figures faces and hands. They are painted flesh and then it looks like they were drybrushed with gloss brown. I have a few 32x figures and the paint job is much better then these (tankers). Its no big thing I'll repaint them.
The best thing... at $14.97 how could I pass them up? The last Tamiya 1/35th Tiger kit I got was around $37.00.
Nice work 21st!!! I'd sure like to see these bad boys scaled up to 1/18th.
