Will you buy the new ALL_GO Passion Wagen?
ive been thinking about the new release from All-GO and i was wondering how many of us will buy this plane. taking into consideration the pros and cons.
PROS:
1st release from a reborn company
1st nude nose art in 1/18 scale
historical accurate paint scheme
CONS:
P-51 in this mold has been done over and over
higher price
feel free to add to the positives and negatives!

I am sort of split on this. The paint scheme - and nose art - look great. I love seeing the solid OD green on the 21c P-51 tooling and think it will look great.
The price point, however, is the killer. I guess getting 21c P-51s for $40 or $50 (and often cheaper) just a year ago is still to fresh in my memory. New company and new paint scheme aside, $100 is far more than I am willing to pay for a repaint. If All Go can adjust the price to comparative JSI levels (the JSI Corsair, which is similar in size to the P-51, sells for $70) it would certainly be worth considering, especially as a first release.
That is my two cents

Love the livery, but price point + already owning 5 other Mustangs = I'll pass. $100 bones for a rehash mold is hard to justify during these hard times!
Excited about the new company and wish AG much success but hope the prices are re-evaluated....considering Bbi sold their BF-109 & Hellcats (with more detail) just a couple years ago for $40-$50.

And how many 1/18 planes has BBI released since then, maybe the $40-$50 per plane just couldn't justify the profitablity of making more.trex0770 wrote:Love the livery, but price point + already owning 5 other Mustangs = I'll pass. $100 bones for a rehash mold is hard to justify during these hard times!

i'm not really crazy about OD mustangs, except the earlier model b/c's. If it was a redo of Lou IV i'd probably get it, though. The pin up nose art doesn't really matter to me one way or the other.
The price would give me pause however, were i interested.
I've only got 2 Mustangs, Killer and BBD ( i retired my Lou IV), so i am in the market for another at some point. I'm sure they'll be many more 1/18 mustangs over the years ahead.

I have every paint version that 21st and BBi came out with (minus the 21st contest version that came out a few years back), so I definitely dont need another one. However, I'd be willing to support them and buy this one if they were to put out some news about what new planes they are coming out with.
I would hate to support by buying their repaints in anticipation of some new items, and we keep getting never ending repaints. TKO211, any way to get them to release some news about at least one new mold they want to do if things work out?

I never received validation on whether the picture of the plane is the real thing or a 1/48 Tamiya master. I'm assuming that this new plane is from the same 2nd series 21st Mustang mold. It was a nice mold but I really never liked warped wings and the thin main wheels. I don't like the paint scheme; I like silver P-51's. However, if the picture shows a new mold, hoy cow. I would say that it is pretty darn worth $100 for what is shown. I still would repaint it into something else or wait for a different livery.
Since I feel 95% sure this is the same mold, I'm - "no".

i agree with much of whats been said above. i go yes & no? i cant decide if its worth the hundred. ive also purchased more than one of some planes holding on for prices to go up or for trading. this helps me build my own collection while keeping my costs down. so if AG does a good job and moves up in the market like they did with 21c will these planes be highly prized in a couple years?

I have 10 different P-51 Mustangs including the Skyworks Shangrila and really only want the Cripes O Mighty to complete my collection. I will buy this one. What the heck is one more. I agree some more info on upcoming releases would be helpful with my decision. Come On TKO , tell us the King Tiger is in the works.

Repaint
No go for me, no more repaints, only entirely new items.
p-51
Nope. Even my limited AC collection has 4 different Mustangs. I know repaints are part of the game, but a Mustang is no way to make a splash.
