Avenger turret question

Post by dragon53 » Sat Jan 23, 2010 5:43 pm

I got my 21st Century Bunker Hill Avenger from Badcat today. I was surprised there were no blemishes, glue smears, scrapes, etc.
But when I put the gunner in the turret, the entire turret assembly collapsed because the turret floor had not been mounted correctly in the fuselage brackets. So before I try to put the turret floor back into the fuselage, I have this question: Does the turret floor with the screw on the end face towards the nose or tail of the Avenger?

Got to love that 21c quality control on large, complex models - and who said JSI was singularly bad? :P

Either way, I checked on my Avenger and the end with the screw faces towards the cockpit.

Glad your BH Avenger was otherwise flawless - it is a great model and the best-looking of the three Avenger schemes 8)

TMANTHE GREAT:

Thanks very much for the help.
When I opened the Avenger box, I was hoping I didn't get the usual 21st Century trademark---huge glue smears on the canopy, scrapes on the paint, etc. so I thought I lucked out---until I put the gunner in. My P-51 Big Beautiful Doll also had a poorly-installed cockpit floor.

I sure hope All-go Toys has its manufacturing defects all-gone.

That would be a dream come true, but I'll believe it when I see it

Enjoy your Avenger!

TMANTHEGREAT:

I agree. For their sake, All-go quality control better be good. Badcat said one of the big problems with 1/18 models was customers returning models with defects...like collapsing cockpit floors.

Well, JSI will feel the pain when nobody buys their second offering especially with a no return policy. Fans will get burned once...
