Doesn't look like much new, the F14 doesn't seem to suffer from pox either...

I was thinking the same thing. 8) Are these available now, or is that a proto shot...??

21c was going to release a japanese starfighter so i'm guessing that's a left over prototype. The bbi sherman with calliope is really a strange bird.....does JSI have the bbi sherman molds now?

If they're going to keep showing them i wish they'd produce them.....they may be trying to gauge interest, as with most toy shows.

It was probably a prototype... It's ironic but often times the company doesn't have their own product available to whip up a prototype using their own as a base, but to give the visual they'll use what's on hand. I've seen Kenner/Hasbro Protos done this way, and other companies as well.

They likely sent a worker out to nab a Sherman so they could cobble the rest of the parts to it, get an idea what it looks like and the feasibility to build it, and voila... BBI Sherman with rocket tubes.

Who says JSI has them - it's "Merit" - they just happen to distribute bbi and JSI.
Let's get serious - it's getting harder to believe that there is no relation between JSI/bbi/Merit.

A quick google shows the date for the 2009 Hong Kong Toys & Games Show as January 5 - 8, 2009 so it's been over a year since JSI showed all those interesting variants (Tiger and Panther with zim, SdKfz variants, Sherman calliope).

The more recently posted link to the 2009 Japan Hobby show (May 7th to 9th) shows nothing except the stock standard 21st Century re-paints, and of course a spot-less F-14.

It really looks to me like JSI mocked up some nice one-off protos for the HK show to grab interest and enthusiasm. Since then they've shown no further plans of actually producing any of the cool variants that we're all actually interested in. I really hope that changes as the variants were "must-have" for me and I have no use for the re-painted old mold stuff.

I'm definitely not getting my hopes up that we'll actually see the variants produced. It's way too common to show cool new stuff at toy fair that never sees the light of day.

I do love the 251 owl and the hummel.

The callipe was a mod I wanted to do. Because of the post I will have to put it in "wait and see " mode.

Bring them on!
I have been wanting a SdKfz 251/20. Was going to make one myself eventually, but if it becomes available.....that would be great!

well, being a toy show they were showing stuff to gauge retailer interest. Since none of the stuff got produced, i can conclude there was none.

However, now that the economy is looking brighter (i know it doesn't feel like it yet) maybe this year they'll get made. If you all recall JSI did run a poll a while back asking what new 1/18 armoured vehicle we'd like to see. So that at least gives some hope.

With JSI making noises, a new 21c about to emberge and FOV still lurking, maybe 1/18 armour is not dead just yet. This year will be pivotal. If nothing new happens i'd say that's pretty much it for 1/18 armour. If we see a smattering of new items and one or two completely new items (eg a KT, jagdpanther etc) then 1/18 armour will still have some hope.

It's a pivotal year for me too. If i don't see some real serious signs of life from 1/18 armour i'm going to commit whole hog to 1/16 armour and get rid of my 1/18 tanks and they'll be no turning back. Enough is enough, i say. :)

That is a George Welch PH P-40 already released.

I thought we were supposed to be getting a British P-40B?

Is the owl the one with the spotlight? I went to a museum and there was an 88 and next to it was a huge spotlight painted in the same color. I was planning on making one to match my 88 but hopefully, I can just buy it.
