WAS LULUBELLE'S PICTURE ON THE BOX FOR KEPFORD REPAINTS?

Post by Buckyroo » Sat Jan 09, 2010 2:42 pm

Sorry for the double post (one in BST also), I goofed and wanted to post it here......

Last week I received a Kepford repaint off of Ebay. The seller had it displayed, but placed it back in the box for shipping. Everything is in good condition. Not mint, but good. I was putting it with my other boxed planes and noticed that it was in a Pappy Boyington Box with the whole Boyington write up on the back. Did this seller goof up and put it in the wrong box, or did all of them come in that box at that production time frame? Thanks for the help.

BUCKYROO:

I'm looking at my Ira Kepford Corsair Series 2 box now, and it has Boyington's Corsair #86 art with "F4U Corsair" on it. My Kepford Corsair was new, still sealed in the box.

However, my Bunker Hill Corsair has the Bunker Hill #167 art on the box.

Thanks Dragon, I was hoping the seller didn't goof up.
