Need help with 21C Corsair

Been lurking a while, I used to post as Bulldozer on GP's old site; a throw back to my days on Greenleader's board. I apologize ahead of time for my rookie question, that has probably been addressed. I finally opened my BCA Pappy Corsair and I am having some trouble with the left wing and left stabilizer. I loosened the screws in the wing, per what I've read here about breakage.
However, my problem is that the Wing and stabilizer will not fit completely into or stay in the fuselage. I struggle to push them in and something is causing them to pushing them back out. It appears the stabilizers are interlocking; am I doing something wrong? How about the wing? Is it a coincidence that the leftside is the issue? Thanks in advance for your help!!

I remember your name from the other board. Welcome back!
Sorry to hear about your problems with the Corsair. I don't have mine here with me at the moment, but I'll do my best to help.
The stabilizer tabs should insert with one on top of the other, so that they sort of interlock. They may be a little stiff, but you have to carefully apply pressure and they'll go in. They probably won't go in entirely flush and there may be a small gap.
As for the wings, as you put the outer piece on the hinge, it should click into place. The outer wing will cover most of the outer part of the hinge, but may sort of be loose on the hinge when in the folded position. If they are really tight when trying to place in the extended position, you may want to file down the tabs on the outer piece or slightly widen the slots those tabs fit into on the inner wing. I didn't have any outstanding problems with my Boyington Corsair from BCA, but I did file the wing tabs a little so that they were easier to pull out.
I'm not sure what much else to say - it seems like you discovered the trick of loosening the screws - and as for the rest I guess you just have to keep fiddling with it. Be sure to really tighten the screws under the fuselage, as well!

I had the same problem with the elevators on the spitfire and one of the Corsairs. I just started to jiggle them back and forth, and it finally snapped in with this very heart wrenching snap that sounds like you broke the plane in half!

When all else fails and you're afraid you'll break something, take an emory board or sanding stick, and work away some material.
