Upcoming M4A1 Sherman in the near future with other customs

Post by pickelhaube » Sun Jan 03, 2010 1:28 pm

I am interested in the main hull only.

Are they they the same?
I know that the mid had the tiny mantlet.Late the larger
Mid had the 3 piece tranny cover. Late single piece.
Mid had the slick block track pads. Late had cheverons
Were the crew hatches the same ?
Was the rear deck and gear the same ?

Thanks

"Are they they the same?" No.

"I know that the mid had the tiny mantlet.Late the larger ." The small manlet would be an early M4A1. Mid would have the wider version and late would have a different gun, turret and mantlet

"Mid had the 3 piece tranny cover. Late single piece." Early had the three piece, mid had the 1 piece rounded cast cover and late had the sharp nosed cast 1 piece.

"Mid had the slick block track pads. Late had cheverons " prety much true.

"Were the crew hatches the same ?" Early and mid had small hatches. Later had the elephant ear large hatches that were requiered for the different turret and mantlet.

Was the rear deck and gear the same ? yes.

early though with chevron track.:

The list of 222 sales are getting a little longer that is good.

After the 222 I have to do a few commisssions.
One will be the towing bar unit on the front of the Abrams. I will also be doing the APU ( aug. power unit ) for the Abrams as well.

Then I will do the Panther G again anymore interest in these along with the Abrams mods.

I have made up my mind I will be doing a M4A1 Sherman hull. Just the hull only.

Trip TTT gave me the idea of doing the Doge ambulance here is a link

Is there any more interest in that ?

2010 will be a great year for 1/18 scale :D :D :D

Hey Matthew!

good to see you busy....wish I had your skills!

How about some parts for all of us new JSI F-14 owners?

I'm sure there'd be interest in fold away ladders, conversion kits for the "D" model (i.e. chinpods, GE engine nozzles, AIM-9 launch rails and ejection seats), ECM/Lantirn/TARPS pods, JDAMS/Clusterbombs, Ejector Racks, heck.....maybe even "D" or "B" model cockpits!

I'd be in to buy some kits.

What do you think? :P

YEAH? What was the sense in having a poll if you don't follow through?

Easy guys don't turn on me.

This list of projects are commisssions guys have paid me to do " one ofs "

If there is more interest "their " price will go down. But they are willing to pay just to get them because they will probably never see them made by the big companies.

The Trop Spit will be done but that is a big poject.

I need ( want ) to get a few of these small ones out of the way before I tackle another big one.

indentured servitude to work off price of buying customs sounds like a plan to me! :D

Or maybe "PH's Custom Training Camp". Learn how to scratch-build and make molds and castings while helping fulfill orders! :D

I'd be interested in a Dodge Ambulance conversion kit.
