After repainting my F-14 because the weathering fiasco, I looked closer at some of the images of the Boyington corsair on e-tailer sites. The corsair seems to have sensible, even nice weathering? Do those that own one concur or have pictures?

I've seen one in person and will concur that it has nice weathering. Here is a good picture of the JSI Corsair taken by boardmember STARMAN 352 so you can see what it looks like:

The JSI Boyington Corsair has better weathering than the 21c version. Seeing the excellent work on the Corsair really makes me wonder why JSI screwed up the weathering on the F-14 so badly

Spot weathering must have been new to JSI. Line weathering, not so much.

Why they missed the canopy overhead plating I don't know. Other than that, the plane looks really good. I think it would of looked even better with the "882" markings.

BBI's Daisy June has nice weathering too. You might want to take a closer look at it.

BBI's "Daisy June" does look nice.

I have 5 1/18 Corsairs, and would probably recommend "Daisy June" or the JSI "Boyington" as one to get first.

Daisy June is my all-time favorite 1:18 Corsair. The scheme is just perfect!

Agreed. And Alex Vraciu's F6F Hellcat is the perfect addition.

Can't go wrong with Daisy June. Although Although I prefer the Marine's Dream scheme, is that a historically accurate scheme that saw battle?

Marine's Dream is an airshow paint scheme along with the Marine 22 Corsair. Daisy June is (I believe with the exception of the nose art) an accurate WWII scheme....

I think you can't go wrong with any BBI Corsair scheme. It is just a great model.
