No love for a 21st Century 1/9th M1A2 RC Abrams?

Post by GooglyDoogly » Mon Jun 06, 2005 5:11 am

Is this scale too big for this forum? I'm pretty excited that 21st will make a 1/9th M1A2 Abrams with OIF markings. It would have been better if it was 1/18 or 1/16...but I'll take an Abrams in any scale. Just wondering why there's not much buzz about this.

"Is this scale too big for this forum?"
- Yes.
But a 1/18 M1 would be sweet :D . Even a good rendition of the UH-60 would be welcome :) . I hope 21st takes a page from bbi's book and re-does some of bbi's earlier pieces that were popular vehicles just lousy renditions...I always say imagine the detail of the Cobra on the Blackhawk  :P

If it's anything like the 1/6 R/C Humvee then forget it. But I'll reserve judgement until it comes out. Maybe it will be irresistably well-done.

Even theRC Tankers aren't overly excited , I think, with such an odd scale.

Hey, where did the scoop come from about the 1/9 scale Abrams?

If it's done right it'll be a beautiful thing, but I'd much rather have them do a quality one in 1/18 scale. Every tank enthusiast and tanker from the last 20 years would buy one of those.
