My Thunderbirds F-16 Has A Tail Again :)

Greetings:

I got an early Christmas gift today:)

Many of you know how my F-16's tail went missing in the mail after being painted by Skyworks. Today thanks to a collaboration and compromising by our XD customizers, my F-16 has a new tail and looks just great!

Our wonderful Pickelhaube cast the tailpiece and sent it to me. I then sent the piece to Skyworks and Jack did the painting and sent it back. Since Pickelhaube had done the tail for another, it was quicker for him to do it and get it to me and quite reasonable. Although I had to spend a little bit of money, it worked out as I did not have to buy an entire new F-16 for a tail. To compenstate for the loss of the tail, Skyworks did the painting and return shipping free of charge.

I greatly thank both of these customizers for their time, talent and assisting me in getting one of the favorite pieces in my collection back in her beautiful form. This really is what this forum is about, great customizers working together and our members helping each other.

Glad that things finally worked out for you Corey.
I do like the irony of PH and Skyworks "collaborating" to get this done for you.

She is one sweet looking bird.

I am jealous too. Is it a bbi 1:18 thunderbird?

Fabulous model!

Makes me wonder why this paint scheme hasn't been released.

I passed on the Blue Angels F-18 scheme because of the flat, low gloss paint.

Congrats on a fine and unique piece!
