21st's Molds

With 21st out of business what will happen to all their molds?

It would seem that there would be a interest in aquiring these for someone, or is the 1:18 and 1:32 scale just not that profitable. I know on this forum everyone wants more, but was the market really there to keep a major player in business?

I have only been collecting the last few years and of course as soon as I find something I really enjoy it seems that the availability of models disappears. I know that there are other manufactures and their quality is great, but 21st was good and very affordable, just wondering.

Anyone's guess. But industry intel in recent years seems to indicate that the Spitfire mold was 'broken', and the Thunderbolt molds were MIA due to non-payment by 21st.

Who knows, maybe JSI will get their hands on the P-47 mold somehow. Next release could be a P-47 Thunderspot.

I would love to have a Spitfire, but the prices that they are bringing are just amazing and when one is affordable I am always too late.

It would be great to see these produced again, I guess just wishful thinking.

21C defending its name & logo thru legal means?

Personally I always wonder what happened to their A-10 prototype or their, F-4, B-25, or Mig-21 prototype (snicker-snicker) for that matter.

I am sure that the A-10 and the King Tiger went home with employee(s). Hard to say if some of the others ever actually existed in 1:18 scale prototype form. Doubt it.

I forgot which molds broke. Wasn't it the Spitfire and the Razerback?

Spitfire, Kubel, both P-47's There might have been more but those were the ones I remember 21C saying they didn't have anymore.
