looks sweet man, to bad i blew it with fightertown decals, oh well maybe mcaulk is right, maybe i lack the skill to use such decals. maybe in the future i'll give it another try. but will be attempting another vf-2 soon hopefully, this time using tamiya spray paints.

When JSI F-14 kit comes out, it will make customizations way much easier.

I would buy the canted vertical stablizers in one second if there is any one made. Even I can install them.

Hey Zach,

That's how I want my engines painted! The little details like that are what make it real! :D

Got my stand yesterday from Pizzaguy and it looks fantastic when lit up. For the most part my 1991 VF-84 Cat is complete. One of these days I may weather her a bit more.

Enjoy!

if you look inside the hole that the peg goes into there is a recess that i set it on, it does sometimes slip, and you have to be careful you don't want raise it up to far or you can crack the canopy.

Re: POST JSI F-14 SPOT REPAIR IDEAS HERE

I prefered use of an airbrush and Testors Acrylic Flat Gull Gray paint is a near-perfect match to the standard base color JSI used on the F-14. I carefully masked off all the markings and sprayed the paint coat lightly so the spots came through, but just barely. That may have been the weathering effect JSI may have been trying to achieve...

This was how mine looked a day or so after it was painted in 2009, and it still look pretty much the same today:
