About a JSI item, but not the F-14!

Well lets get back to the JSI Panther and not the F-14. I know the color scheme for the Panther was discussed a lot also. But, I was catching up on some recorded programs from a couple of months ago and was watching one of the Battle of Berlin episodes from the Military channel. Sure enough, there was a Panther firing at the Ivans with the exact same scheme. Program was in black and white so I guess the colors could be debated, but the scheme was the exact same. It was cool to actually see one of the more unusual schemes in an authentic film.

Probably one they already have on their website. I am thinking F15 or J11/SU27. They may want to spread out the time between the huge planes but I don't know. It is possible that they would do the Huey next.

I'm betting on P-40 and F-104 before we see anything new.

So anyway,

Cool to see that the "primer" camo was actually in use.
Not my choice, but good to see it is authentic.

This thread cracked me up when I read it. Started out about the Panther paint scheme and immediately diverted to aircraft! LOL!

Yea, first thing I thought was "how did my post get stuck into an aircraft thread?"

I like the new Panther scheme, I might have picked something different but its still armor.
I know this has been talked about before but I'd love to see a re release of the Panzer IV plenty of potential there for customs!
Oh and what has happened to the 21st King Tiger? I wanted a few of them. I wonder who has the molds to that Tank? :?

I wonder who has the KING TIGER prototype?

The original static mould for the Panzer model was sold and modified to create the Panzer IV RC version in 2005/6, an irreversible modification. :?: :(

Yeah a KT would make almost everybody go nutz

Would there then be a big "debate" or poll on which turret is preferred? Henschel or Porsche?

Henschel, as it was the most common turret type, though the Porsche does have that beautiful streamlined look to it.

Depending on the cammo scheme a JSI King Tiger would not look so bad in spots, unlike some other items :P

Probably the henschel since all the porsche turrets had zimmerit? and JSI probably wouldnt add zimmerit to the existing prototype mold

I'm not particularly knowledgeable in the details, e.g. can't tell the diff between pepsi and coke

would it be workable or accurate if a Henschel KT was ever made, and the turret can be swapped by a customized/built Porsche turret, say from PH?

I rather like the look of the henschel turret, the porsche turret looks more...hum..exotic.

You're right though, their spot making abilities could be of great use here...

Well I tell you I had my X-acto knife and styreen ready to do just that. As soon as the Tiger II 's were in I was going to make the Porche turret.

Man I was ready but 21st was not.

I have the master tracks made for a 1/18 Tiger II but have been scared to make one because maybe it will come out.

That is why I am going to make the Jagdtiger I know that will never be made.

But I have not given up on the T II. If nobody will make it I will.

That will be so sweet to have one 1/18 scale. I already know how I am going to make the wheels and rear deck the Hench turret should be a snap !!!

BUT THERE IS 85 LINKS PER TRACK PER SIDE.

Good to know it can be done PH

Just wonder if a 1/16 RC track can be modified to fit 1/18 instead?

Yes it can be done but it will not be easy.

You would have to slice and dice it and put it back together then remould all 170 of them.

So I guess maybe it can not be done.
