Looking for something to tow

Does anyone know where I can find some kind of trailer, an M105A2 preferably or similar, in an 1/18th scale? I'd like to get my Dodge Truck something to pull. Back of the truck looks real lonely

How about something for the Jeeps to pull?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

While it's not to scale exactly...it's readily available and fairly inexpensive too....http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/84/mountainhowitzer/

actually, with bigger wheels and tires on it it's not bad, scale wise. The trails don't open but that's not a problem for towing.

Not sure the Dodge would be able to tow this gun however; might be a bit big for it.

If we can get a Pak 40 in the other two scales and a 88 in 32x, why in the hell can we not have them in XD. To go along with the dreams thread, I would have to pinch myself if I ever saw them on the shelves. There is a serious need for some arty in XD. Also, what about the trailers that the jeeps used to tow? If they ever re-release the jeep it would make a neat combo.

A while back we were discussing what to use to tow the PTE Long Tom. Well, I had this link hidden in my favorites. Look like a good tow vehichle?

eek. That's pretty nice. Just remove the blade assembly (and add an artillery winch) and it would be perfect.

Looks just like the one i customed out of a Tonka dozer...not.

actually...after doing a little researching and a little remembering i think that the td-14 is a heavy dozer. It was medium dozers that were used to tow long toms (i patterned mine after a td-13 i believe). I'm not 100% sure about this however.

There was another link in the pte howitzer thread that had other 1/16 dozers....resin kits i think. I thought one of them was perfect for the job..

We had a long thread about the Long Tom and High Sprred Tractors not too long ago and info was provided about the different tractors and what they pulled.

Aferg is, of course, correct the "Medium" tractors (basically medium dozers without blades and fairly large winches) were used to move around big guns. A slightly smaller dozer was used to move around planes and had no winch.

But back to the the original comment on this thread, I found (on eBay of course) a custom made trailer for my Dodge. It is an M series and is probably around 1/16 but it looks good behind my Dodge. Size is right for the 1 ton trailer used in WW2, look is different but we're not fanatics...are we

Pic is on my website, first pic in the "Toys" album.

I bought the 1:32 flak gun for my 1:18 figures. It is not to scale, but it is abbout the same size as the gi joe howitzer and it looks great as a smaller field gun. It also attaches to teo set of wheels in the fornt and back and can be towed. not bad for only $14
