I think that other than a few tweaks the turret is done .

II think that I need to cut off the handle off of the rear hatch and all of my lift hooks look a little tall.

All easy quick fixes . :D

I am not sure if you can notice I enlarged the vision block frames on the copula. They looked a little small to me.

It is funny how you can scale things off of an item but it does not look good to the eye.

Next step is making the tube levitate and make the copula hatch hinge so that they work.

So here ya' all go.

Hi PH. Could you let me know when to pay you for a set of turret, steel wheels, sideskirts and exhaust stacks please? And how much?

Any news yet on PlasticFanatic's IR scope and mount for the Panther F? Would love to see some pictures if he's managed to produce it.

The stacks will go with the kit.

This is what I am thinking.

Panther F with shorter barrel-----------------$65
Panther II with long barrel --------------------$70
Wheel set w/28 wheels and steel axels -------$32
Panther skirts -----------------------------------$15

Plastic Fanatic wants Grunt 1 to proceed with his IR Scope because he has it made and at a cheap price.

I am interested to buy two pairs of skits for my Panthers.I would prefer if you put plenty of tabs to hold to the tank,so i can cut the skirts in separate sections that way i can display the tank with a few missing skirt panels.

I'm considering a pair myself. Even though I am a 32nder, I do have a blow-out special Panther because I like Panthers so much. If I had a second Panther I'd get the rest of the parts but that will have to wait.

I'm in for the 88mm panther turret with the skirts and stacks. I'll be picking up the IR scope from battleground toys too.

Hey Guys,

I need to finish pouring the parts for my last Horten orders then I will have time to make the moulds for the Panther F/II.

That should be done this week so hopefully I will make the moulds on or before the weekend.

Question, I am anxiously waiting for your back date 251, will this 3/4 tarp fit it? if not will you make a tarp for the back date?

I am pretty sure that it will but have not checked as of yet.

I worked with my real job this week so I did not get a chance to work on anything.

I started working on the final touches for the turret and getting the gun barrel to levitate is proving to be a bit vexing.

For you guys who are getting this , does the barrel really have to move up or down or are you happy with it being static ?

Pickelhaube, I'm fine with the barrel being static.

.......... I'm Ok w/ that Matt , as long as the barrel is not going to be in such a position as to be pointed straight up in the air. I think a little discretion is advised here.

when using this kit a lot of us will have spare G turrets. Is there any way to leverage those old bits for use to make the F gun articulate? I know it's probably no, but exploring possibilities like that might give you more options, even in future projects.

Probably not.

The way the original gun operates the whole mantlet moves.

Mine has the tiny hogs head mantlet. I will try one more thing before I have to give up on it.

Cross your fingers. :D

Pickel, how about a ball mount set up...... I used it on the Brummbar. The only thing that might give you a problem
is the length and weight of the barrel.

Thanks for the input guys .

I finally got it worked out and the proto barrel now levitates .

It looks like there is another version of the Panther II .

In lew of this I guess I may have to rethink the production of my version.

I originally had my minimum of 10 guys now after the unveiling of Grunt's that could change.

So if their is still interest in my version please contact to see how this project progresses.

Later on today or tonight I will post pics of my completed rendition .

After I receive the tally of interest I will wither tear it down for copies or send it off to my consigner.

So until that happens this project is in limbo.

I am also in, the fact that your turret do not have a gunner hatch, a small detail that is more to my very personal preference and that you have the steel wheels option make it the perfect choice for me..

I am soo looking forward to this particular transkit that I am willing to charge half of what I usualy charge for commision custom paint job AND assembly ...yes the two things....I have been ask via PM About this by some intetested partys that do not have the time to build and finish the conversion but want to add the rare Panther F variant to their 1/18 collection so I think it could help in convincing Pickelhaube to do his great looking transkit....yea...I like it that much!!!!!

I do not know if is permited including a price quote, if not please remove.

Get your pics posted, lay down a final price, layout the accessories we can get and people will make their choice. This is the version I'm interested in.

Despite the "participation numbers" i think you should still make the molds. You can offer it up later and add it to your catalog of kits. You will always have an audience and just because this item isn't seemingly popular right now, who's to say it wont be in the future? You desperately need a website where you can feature all of your kits in a catalog format and start developing an audience outside the 100 registered people or so that frequent this forum everyday.
