I worked on these a little this weekend.
Sorry guys I had to get off of that 222 for a while.
I needed a break at something easy.
Plus I know the 222 may be a little pricey for some so I thought that I would do a quick cheapy as a break.
Est price $30-$40.
I am going to make addaptors for the 21st , FOV and BBI Shermies.
These really look cool on a Shermy AND THEY ARE BIG.

They are about 6 inches tall and about 3 1/2 inches wide.
Speaking of big I have always wanted to do the HUGE mine roller but droped it because of lack of interest.
While I am at it . Is there still interest in the Firefly add on mod kit ?
I would not mind doing a few quickies before I start the Cliped Spit.
After the 222 production.

What is your Firefly package, going to include,a new turret with additional parts or just the parts to make a firefly?

I was thinking of parts. So as to keep the price down.
I would make 3 sets for the 3 manft.
Simply glue on and instant Firefly.
You would have to change out the barrels but I am thinking of using the original stubs for the barrels.

So is there any other interest in the trunks ?
I have the FOV trunks finished and ready to copy.
Let me know who may be down for these because I need to get back on the 222.
A little hooky never hurt anybody.

I like the way the rear trunks fit on the FOV sherman.
Do you have it stuck on something underneath the Sherman?
I would be interested in a set for the FOV Sherman, if it's easy to fit it on there.
Let us know.

Yes it fits snugly. with almost no fitting. There are several glue spots. The whole bottom that skirts all the bump outs and stuff. Those top two bump outs as well as the inside " L " area. That glues up tight to the rear flange on the back of the rear end.
I am going to have to do this for the other two versions. They will have a custom fitted attachment as well.

I'd be interested in a set or two. Is the fov sherman the one that most accurately represents the ones that landed at D-Day or would the 21C/BBI be a better fit?

There were several versions that came ashore that were used.
The 21st is a M-4 the earlist out of the bunch.
The BBI and FOV are actually the same type just one is the later model.
So in effect if you have any of the 3 Shermans any of them will work. Except the winterized ones and the Co-Ed.The Co-ed is bogus . That paint job does not go with that model of Shermy.
There is a picture in the Squadron Signal Sherman book. It has several Shermans in some court yard during the closing days of the war and it has several version with one early early Sherman still rolling. So if it was available and worked they used it.

The BBI Sherman represents a later M4A3 hull type that wouldn' t have been used for these. It's 47 degree hull front didnt appear till fall of 1944.

Cool,
But if the BBI is all you have then use it.
Just like my Stuka cannons. Thay are not right for 21st's Stuka B but they sure look cool on it.
The FOV kit is done. I hear that the FOV's are at Toys R U so you can get them.
I will do the BBI next . I have a few sales for that one.
Does anybody want the 21st addaption ? If not I will do that one later .
Keep in mind that these will fit. No altering will have to be done with the FOV. The 21st you need to pop off the rear breathers. They pop right off . The BBi you need to pop off the rear exaust breather. The one that goes side to side.
You also have to pop off the pioneer tools. THERE SHOULD BE NO DAMAGE TO YOUR TANKS IF YOU GET THESE ADD ONS.
IF YOU YOU DON'T GO CRAZY WITH THE CRAZY GLUE.
IF YOU WANT A CHANGE JUST POP THEM OFF (EASY DOES IT ) AND YOU CAN PUT THE ORIGINAL GEAR BACK ON.
