Small Scale Military Headquarters

I missed out last year , but now they have a repaint set for mid-year release. I'm thinking about getting it , but for $375 its a tough call. Is it worth the $$$ ? Also if you own one can you provide better pics then what BCA has. I wish I could see one up close, so I make up my mind

It should be well worth it if the KT is anything like the first release. The detail is absolutely incredible, just opening the crate alone makes you start drooling, makes you second guess even removing the items from the several levels of trays and assembling the big mamma.

Being 1/16 this should be in the "Off-Topic" forum....j/k
To me it's just not what I collect and I therefore have zero interest, although it does look awesome. However that's a whole lot of XD when you're talking 4 bills after shipping....
I've said it before (and here it comes again) - if they can make and sell a $400 static 1/16 tank why the @^%$ can't they make a knock your sox off $100 1/18 scale tank? Lord knows this stuff isn't for kids - imagine what the Panzer IV could have been at even $80? Or what a 1/18 KT could be at $100? People were so sure the Panzer IV would open up but sure enough it didn't - you have to wonder how much that has to do with keeping costs down (I say a lot).
Rant over (for now). Can't deny, that fov KT looks nice....

You could have pre ordered the second release for $320 months ago, now everyone wants $375 plus. You can still find a FEW left on online retailers of the first release, I came across one for $650 a few weeks ago looking for info on the second release. I have seen a opened with broken tabs and such on ebay go for $450 and a NIB for $500 or 550. The model is awesome. There was some bitching about the paint scheme on the first release, lets hope FOV did there home work on the 2nd release.

Whats the dimensions of the tank, body length and w/ barrel?

Truly, a remarkable piece! Looks like it almost does everything except run and shoot. That is certainly worth every cent of the price! The new one is supposed to come with the commander (Joachim Piper) and three soldiers.

Overall length w/ barrel is 25 inches, the tank without barrel is 17.5" long 9" wide and about 8" high.

but that IS a beautiful toy!
