1/18th modern leopard tank?

Post by TERZ » Thu May 26, 2005 6:18 pm

Hey I was looking at ebay and saw this auction for what looks to be a motorworks/21st bradley, the seller says he built it and it is Tamiya. but, he has a pic of what looks to be a Leopard tank. from the pic, chassis looks like the abrams, but the turret is completely different. he is in england. here is the link

The Leopard is probably the 1/16 Tamiya model. The camera perspective is making it look smaller than it is.

That's no way a Tamiya 1/16 Leo. The 1/16 Leo was MUCH longer and wider that the 1/16 King Tiger, not even counting the extended 2a6 L55 barrel of the Leo. And the King Tiger already dwarf a 1/18 Bradley. Heck, a 1/16 Sherman is larger than the 1/18 Bradley.

That looks like either a Henlong or a genuine Tokyo Marui 1/24 Leopard 2A5.

And this caption in the auction seems to suggest that the Bradley is bigger than the Leo, but not by much.

"Shame too because they are fantastic renditions! This is a static model which I originally intended to RC up and paint it in Euro NATO colours and run it next to my Leopard, as you can see it doesnt really look out of place next to it, huuuuuge!"

Guys,
I was wondering if it could be one of the 1/24 or so,
Airsoft tanks that are available for sale now a days.
keep me posted, but it seems to me like it may be one of those airsoft tanks.

Tamiya r/c tanks are pretty expensive.....too expensive in my opinion but i'm sure many think they are worth it.
