PTE Bombed out Building at Big Lots

Post by Fritzkrieg » Fri Oct 16, 2009 4:23 pm

I scored my PTE Bombed out Building at Big Lots today. $30, not bad considering the size f this playset, and all the accessories.

Time to start looking at BL again. They just set up the X-Mas stuff here locally so I guess maybe they're thinking what they have in toys was slim pickins. They would be right on that account too.

I paid thrice that to get the building early, but I'll gladly buy more at $30. Hell I'd buy 5 more at that price and make a city block.

It's been reported that the Harbin Z-9 and the Type 92 are there, as well.

Obviously. :) I'll only buy the building I think, unless they put out the bridge and other stuff as well.

They had a lot of the single story HQ buildings too. I'll grab one of these on my next run.

Damn! If I had known about this earlier, I would've said yes when my girlfriend asked me if I wanted to go to Big Lots with her this afternoon...

Went to 2 big lots here in South Texas and nothing like this. A lot of the towers and other minor stuff but no buildings. :(

I picked up the Russian type IFV at Big Lots today. At $20 this thing blows away the Unimax LAV which costs more. Tons of detail, many opening hatches, lots of display possibilities. A little bit of weathering and it will look even better. 8)

They had the "rocket chopper" which looks like an Augusta or some other type of light chopper. They also had the bombed out building which I had to rip myself away from.

Bravo to PTE!

... Does anyone know if this thing floats? If so I will have to take some pics. :P

I found the building and IFV vehicles at Big Lots today :D The new assortment in my area seems to include the building, IFV, and F-18 jet along with all the older items released each year. I purchased the IFV and am holding out on the building for the moment, but will most likely get it as it looks way too cool. The IFV is awesome and sets a new standard of excellence for PTE.

I did not see the Type 98 tank and I did not see the Chinese Helicopter. In fact, it may not have even been in the assortments that I saw. Sometimes it seem Big Lots sends some items to different areas... However, I was really after the IFV and am pleased to have found it 8)

Holy crap!!! I opened this thread, saw the pictures, walked to my car and drove immediately to big lots without a moment's hesitation....

Aaaaand....nothing.

Crap.

I don't go there often, but my local big lots never seems to have any new stuff. I wasn't sure if it was PTE was not making new material (obviously not true now) or that they just don't get much in.

If anyone can snag me an extra one, send me a PM and I can instantly send you payment and shipping/handling.

Looks awesome, I doubt I'll ever see it in stores.

Has the SU-27 made it over to Big Lots too?

I have not seen SU-27, only the F-18. The assortment that at least three of the four Big Lots in my town got all had the building, IFV, and the F-18 plus an undetermined amount of the usualy items (towers, hummers, Littlebird helos, M1s, RIBs, camels, horses, kayaks, figure packs, 12" figures etc).

I have not seen the SU-27, Chinese Helicopter, or the Chinese Type 98 tank yet at retail. I already have the tank, but would like to find the helicopter, if it is out there.
