I doubt Thunderbird F-16, since i don't think the Blue Angel Hornet did all that well.
It will be a repaint....i'll guess Marseille 109, although that's more wishful thinking, as i don't know if 21c would let a hot patooty like that be an exclusive. Mind you they did Pappy's Corsair as an exclusive...
Gabreski's P-47?

I suspect the announcement will be the bbi mustang repaint or repaints. The photo of the mysterious blue nose mustang is missing from the "hot shots" section.
My second guess would be "Thunderbirds F-16"
Thank goodness for 10 foot ceilings.

One hundred and fifty three - 1:18 scale aircraft on the ceiling looks  damn good!
Mustang
Big surprise, they're repainting the Mustang everyone!
I must say though that they did pick 2 very cool schemes, and they look nice. It took a year but we got a repaint out of them....now where's my M4 in OD ?
On a side note - it's funny that people actually thought bbi would give 21st a run for their money when the P-51 came out Little did we know the next thing we'd see would be a repaint a year down the line.

Nicely done BBI and BCA. It seems like this effort is more of a joint venture between the two companies than the Boyington corsair was between 21st and BCA. Hence, this is a step in the right direction and we should be excited.
And notice the release date, August 2005, which is probably before we'll see 21st's new mustang. Well, shame on them and congrats to BBI/BCA for finally getting things together.
I'm gonna have to buy one, but which? Meditate I must.
Now time for a BBI fw-190a!

Excellent Choices. It may be premature to count out BBI. Prehaps BBI should have BC choose their next S1 on a future release.

I never counted them "in" when it came to WWII - one plane & one tank does not a player make. However if I get those figures that could change imo

Coming Attractions
I am sure that repaints of various toys are being proposed all the time. Manufacturers are very reluctant to do exclusive repaints, however, and when I have fished around, promptly had the door slammed on my nose. In short, there is always lots of talk and rumors but few repaints see the light of day, BC projects seem to be an exception to this rule.
New, unannounced toys, on the other hand, are closely guarded secrets. Once they are announced, then my cousin often provides me with a few non-sensitive tidbits. BBI has done a "non-collector" project for Target but I don't think this means they are abandoning our hobby.

I dont think a couple of Mustang re-paints for Bad Cat is going to make BBI move any faster on releaseing more WW 2 Fighter Planes, thats just my opinion mind you. If you look on Bad Cats website they say that production on the BBI Mustang is limited and thats for the "Killer" version. Do I think they have plans on making anymore WW 2 Fighters? Right now I say not anytime in the near future and I think the big reason is 21st Century. 21st has the market in that area. They are turning out WW 2 Fighters faster then the market can handle, repaints and new releases. Come Fall the Aveneger and Mustang (hopefully) will be hitting the shelves and websites so should BBI even bother? I would say yes because they showed what they can do with their Mustang release. BBI should now concentrate on producing a ZERO and a HELLCAT, that would put them back in the game. Do you imagine how good it would look having a 1/18th Aveneger and a 1/18th Hellcat sitting side by side? For me I can only imagine.
But I dont think we will get any blockbuster new releases from BBI anytime soon sad to say.
