Leave No Stone Unturned.........

One of the few that have missed the first time around was recently found on a firearms auction site. I was doing a random search and came across the link and found the "Cripes A'Mighty". That was one lucky find. It had been listed on that site for two previous weeks without one bidder. I found it with less than 12 hours to go and had to join that website to get it. I am very glad I did.

I wanted to relate this to the others like me that are searching for items previously passed over....Don't stop looking and look in places that are lightly traveled by collectors. I hope that everyone gets to gather the ones which they passed over the first time around.

Who else has found one in a not so common place?

What a catch, nice going. I seen one of them sell on ebay for 165 a year ago. Glad I got mine for 60 when they first came out. Someone on this board found a f-104 at a salvation army I think it was a while back. Wonder if "The FruitBasket" has any F-16s?

BUCKYROO:

How much did you pay for the "Cripes A' Mighty"?

$92.00 PLUS SHIPPING

DUE TO NOT SEEING MANY AVAILABLE LATELY, I WAS HAPPY TO PAY THAT.

BUCKYROO:

I paid $74 delivered for my Cripes last year. About 2 weeks ago, I saw a Cripes on an auction (maybe it was yours) that was listed for over $100 ($112 or $120?) but no one had bid on it and it had been listed many times (12 times?). So it looks like you got a good deal if someone wanted it for over $100 with shipping extra.

I would say that you got a good deal with yours. I must have missed that auction, for I don't recall seeing one for a while. It's so hard to cover them all do to listing irregularities. Someone here got one for $40.00 plus shipping last year. I was watching it but missed the close.

That's a good price these days.

I won "Cripes A Mighty" on ebay about 3 years ago for $85. It was pricey then. People were panicking when they sold out, and so was I. Funny it was Badcat that was auctioning their last few. I imagine now it would have been in the "Private Reserve" for much more.
Glad I got one.

Did you know 21st made a "Cripes" Mustang B/C in 32X in the Dogfight 2-pk?

I hear the other BC exclusive "Hurry Home Honey" is HTF and climbing in price now.

DAUNTLESS:

I think Aikens has the 1/32 dual pack of the early model Cripes and an ME-262, but it's very expensive---I think it's around $80.

If I remember correctly, Badcat said BBI released only 1,300 Cripes.

Yeah I lucked out and got it at Walmart.
I didn't notice it was a B/C Mustang till I looked close at it. As the other Dogfight 2-pk had the early D model with the battleship rivets on it.

As soon as I found out it was the new 1:32 Mustang B/C tooling, I rushed out to get one, as it's unique to that 2-pk only.
It looks exactly like the 1:18 BBI Cripes, silver and blue, only with the B/C canopy and it's smaller of course.

Wouldn't that have been something if 21st had completed their 1:18 B/C Mustang like TKO said they were working on, and we'd possibly gotten a "Cripes A Mighty" since they did one smaller? 8)

Always look in closeout/liquidation type stores. I found a BBI F-16 at a store called ESSEX and it was marked at $20. The owner said he had gotten 2 of them in. I've also found Master Replicas movie props in this store....most everything has damaged packaging and or slightly damaged items.

Where is this ESSEX store located?
Is a chain?

Wow, like what, the mini sabers or the high end stuff?

Yes it is a chain. I know of 1 store in my town and a few in Nashville. I do not know if they have stores in other states. I also just noticed a new store pop up that is selling all of the stuff that the Sharper Image had left over along with a ton of other junk.

The MR items I have found are the Mini size Blasters/sabers and one of my buds found a few of the full size light up sabers that were damaged for dirt cheap.
