is this a real military vehicle?

i've seen these in TRU, usually in camo colours....it looks too realistic to be made up. Is there a real vehicle that looks like that?

yes i think that's exactly what it's supposed to be. I'd never heard of those vehicles before. The toy has a very low roof to it...lower than pics i've seen of the real Panther CLV/Iveco LMV but i'm sure that's what it's based on.

no that's a crummy picture and a crummy paint scheme. If you see the camo'd version it looks much like the Panther. Next time i see it i'll check to see how scale it is, but it struck me as being about the size of a 1/18 Humvee, probably not as wide.

i took a closer look at this today. It's actually not bad. Scale is right. It has the extra add on armour available to Panthers and that's why the roof too looked low to me. It's just that the windows are 'slitty' which created the illusion the roof was too low. Except for the usual goofy chap mei rockets etc added to it, it's not bad. The ones we have around here are a sand colour.

it's not perfect but looks very cool....actually looks better than the panther...lol.
