what's with the big chain holding the mines to the side of the turret? Was this an early form of reactive armour?

You see a lot of that on ebay. Some unsuspecting sole will buy it and think he has a masterpiece.

There needs to be a "Cringe Police" on ebay to control the junk sold on there.

I had to look...no that is not a correct ambush pattern and no suprise, its that twit who twists history into his own little world of custom German armor... who would buy this crap?

it's not even close to a correct ambush pattern. It's just big polka dots all over a 3 colour tiger. Why didn't he at least make the dots tiny?? It woud have been easier i should think and surely he can tell from pictures that the dots weren't that big.

Oh well, i have yet to figure out why this guy does the things he does. The mines still have me befuddled. It's like 'hey, let's hang a few pounds of explosive on the side of our turret so eneny shells will have a little extra umph to them'.

I have also heard that there was NO AMBUSH PATTERN WAS EVER PAINTED ON THE TIGER 1.

Much less the way he did it.

I remeber hearing of a big hunt to find a pic with the camo on a Tiger.

That is not to say if there is no pics it was not done.

We have been down that street with the quad 50 trailer

Those dots should be tiny.

I do know that the Brits had that camo the big dots . Kind of like Mickey Mouse ears :D :D :D

Huh, nobody noted the US .50 cal ammo box mounted on the MG-34 :?
That one jumped right out at me. Yep the Dots were well fed and swelled up to a un-believeable size  I did however like the way he used the small clumps of folliage as camo. That did look about right.

Haven't been on much, real busy right now.
But I am working on spinning up a some custom JSI Tigers right now myself. Don't think I'll be puttin' any landmines on the turret either  But I will do some of the folliage camo like this guy did, yet perhaps a bit differently though. Perhaps this person is new at the game and may need some better referance material to go on  We all started somewhere. Hopefully when I post pic.s of my custom kittys, they'll be more to everyones liking :)

I don't think being new is what his problem is. He's been listing customs on eBay for quite some time. He uses these lines in every listing: "I have built models for 20+ years and have had work published in Fine Scale Model Magazine. I am an expert on the Luftwaffe and WWII.". Of course just because he makes the claim doesn't make it true.

I was about to compliment that thing for its nice zimmerit work, before I realized it's an FOV Tiger.

Ugh.

I hate to rag on anyone's auction, I mean if he can command that kind of coin for that thing, more power to him.... on the other hand no one has bid on it yet. To me it looks like it has been decorated with polka dots, a frickin romper room tank..lol which I suppose goes along quite well with those shiney plastic Playmobile doll houses. Be interesting to see if anyone actually bites on this.... 8)

Didn't he have to pull his Zero Kate abomination cause nobody fell for that one. No bids on the expert Kate.

Well, the Zimm for one thing... I don't think any of the XD Tigers came stock with it. There's no doubt in my mind it's a Bravo Team Tiger, but perhaps someone who here who owns one can chime in with other distinguishing features.

It is .

1. Tracks
2. Zimm
3. Solid rear grills
4. Rear hinges that work.
5. Copula
