Hit the beach today for some d-day shots for the Sherman as promised. 7.00am this morning laying in a puddle of english channel water for the shots but Im really pleased with them. Strangely enough the first one is my favorite.
Also gave me a good use for some of those Monkey depot bargain halftracks! The Sherman is the one I was working on a few weeks ago when i first posted, shes a 1972 vintage Tamiya Sherman, complete rebuild with custom wading trunks, driven on and off the sand this morning for the shoot.

Excellent pictures! I like your use of scale and perspective. Its hard to tell those are little 1:18 scale objects on a large beach. The black & white always helps when photographing these models as it seems to take away from some of the toyishness and make them more realistic 8)

 WOW! Those are some really cool pics. I agree with Tman, the black and white plus the use of the beach obstacles in front with the sea as the backdrop makes are very realistic picture. You should photoshop some troops and debris into your pics to make them come ALIVE!

Thanks for sharing! Post more....

Very nice job,rocketman.

Good job on the scale, and the B/W adds a period effect to it.

* Actually , natural daylight adds a more realistic effect on their paint schemes and helps bring these 1:18 models to life.

........ nice b&w shots !

You could fool many with those shots, into thinking their looking at some vintage photos.

Like the pics, had to look twice to tell they weren't 1:1 scale.
