I am not all too interested in the modern gray schemes myself. I like the idea of the older birds with the bright navy carrier colors.

Oh don't get me wrong. The low vis is indeed cool. BUT all your little photo comp did for me was support the desire for the RED full color one! Those photos are SICK!

Hey! I am just glad that we are talking about the F-14 as a reality! Frankly I would take one if it were PINK!

I like both I like the contrast between the two....to me the high vis represents the early tomcats of the 70's and early 80's while the low vis represents the tomcats of the mid to late 80's. both would be welcomed in my home along with some hot blond women...lol

PAINT SCHEME - He had just seen the finished paint scheme and said it looked amazing, and WILL have BBI's style signature weathering!!
Probably the "Jolly Rogers".

I'm with tko on this. The high vis paint schemes are the shiznit.

I hope VF-84 high vis is the first, but I would love a VF-111 in high vis as well.

Yeah, I'm getting at least one. Probably two or three.

P51:

Thanks for the update.

Two questions:
1. Will JSI include pilots with the F-14?
2. Is the F-14 a limited edition?...If so, how many will be released?

I was wondering how long it would take for dragon53 to have a pilot question. :D

CORNBREADFRED:

Even though the JSI F-14 is huge, it's still too small for me to fit in the pilot's seat.....so I want pilots for the JSI F-14.

Just saw this thread. Maybe more detailed pics is needed?

The lady at the booth was kind enough to elt me manhandle it a bit. The canopy won't stay open by itself, so i was holding it open with one hand, while taking pics with the other.

I'm no F-14 expert, but the details in the canopy is amazing.

GOOGLYDOOGLY:

Thanks for the great photos---especially the cockpit.
How would you compare the JSI F-14 detail to the detail of BBI's F-16, F/A-18 and their WW II planes?

I hope that is not the finale design for the boarding ladder.
The control stick is a bit iffy.
Can some one find out if the insides of air intakes are adjustable?
It looks like they are going to be using silk screening like the Bbi F-18 hornet. The cockpit does not look to bad...

CORNBREADFRED:

I think the pilot is from BBI's F/A-18 Hornet. Earlier, someone mentioned that Merit urged JSI to include pilots with the F-14.

It appears to be a decent representation, however I'm a little disappointed there are no positionable control surfaces, especially at that pricepoint.

Still won't stop me from buying a couple!
