A 1:18 Grumman Goose please!

Post by Hollywoodkbl » Tue May 10, 2005 12:11 pm

How cool would it be to have one of these in 1/18th scale. I don't think it would be all that big. My 1/48 kit is still pretty small. Anyone else out there dig this plane?

Or is it the one where the 4 ex-military guys drive around in a van with a monkey fighting bad guys?

Ah yes, the Indiana Jones inspired show about a man and his one eyed dog, Jack.

Ah, great '70s tv. Need humor, add a monkey. Now I feel like watching Any whichway but Loose. And the Gold Monkey. Yep, I'm feeling old.

Yikes! Well, some of you got it right! Yes, Tales of the Gold Monkey! Lasted only 2 seasons starting in 1982, but was not a complete Indy ripp off. Actually was inspired by the 1939 Cary Grant film " Only Angels Have Wings". Yes, I want one because I want to turn it into the "CUTTER's GOOSE". Plus, it's just a totally cool plane!

Look at what my one smart remark spawns...
You guys are good... especially Centone.

I think we all missed out by the networks not teaming up Mr. T with a crime fighting chimp.

BJ and the Bear (aka the monkey) would never have stayed afloat without the lovely talents of Judy Landers.

Harry you've got to look at the entire equation here. If it was just the truck driver and his pet chimp you'd be correct. However, add in the 4 ex-military guys in a van (one of whom was Bad Attitude Baracus, better known as B.A.) and a whole new picture appears. Just imagine the magnificent wonder of a TV show about Mr. T and his crime fighting pet chimp!

:D

for more fun (and since I'm bored and this has strayed waayyy off topic) I just ran a GIS for Mr. T Ape and found this site which is pretty close.....

Ahhhhh.. Okay..... Sorry, I am a straight-forward guy that doesn't always read between the lines..
