Are BBI WWII figures' parachutes permanently attached?

Post by ParatrooperCarbine » Fri Jul 03, 2009 12:49 pm

I just acquired Reid, Mahoney, Ramirez, and DiMarco. I was about to open Reid when I saw that the chutes seem permanently attached at the shoulder. Are they, or can they be removed?

it should say right on the package that they're detachable.

It says "removable weapons" on the front and "working parachute" on the back, but does not say if the chute is removeable, unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

The parachute is only removeable if you untie the strings attached to the straps on the shoulders.

They are great figures and I love the working chutes, but they don't work with what I wanted to use them for.

Anyone want to buy some paras? I have Ramirez, Dimarco, another Reid, and Mahoney.

Give it up! What were you going to use them for?

I am creating a display of 21C paras, and thought these would be a good addition.

The the original ones thaey came out with are but the newer WWII are not, imo i prefer the ones you can take off because if u want to have the fig go into combat then u can without the worry of having to retie

speaking of bbi paratroopers: were the US parachutes really camouflage coloured like the way bbi has them? I've seen pics of white and olive drab chutes but never camouflage patterned ones.
