Source of 'correct' USSR weapons in 1/18?

Post by flayrah » Wed Jun 24, 2009 2:31 pm

I know the IJ Russians aren't correct for WWII, but considering that's all we have they work for me. :)

But of course the weapons are wrong. Does anyone know of 1/18 weapons that would pass for WWII Soviet?

the gi joe gun is pretty big, about 1/15 scale.

Dragon made a 1/16 scale german weapons set that is still around. In it was a nice russian ppsh and magazine case. It's 1/16 of course.

Otherwise, nada. I made a russian anti tank rifle a few years ago out of bits and pieces and a gi joe ski pole.

I talked with the marauder guy and he would like to make a ppsh but probably wont because of something to do with the grip; it can be held in figures hands well...that was very disappointing as i was counting on him.

i've found some 90mm and 120mm figures with ppsh41, but yeah, their 90mm and 120mm so, may be to big or too small. no luck on those mn91/30s yet though. oh, also found a dp28 in 120mm scale on a russian cossack.
