Post by NWarty » Wed May 13, 2009 1:09 am

Military Toy Shop F-14 Pre-Order has it as $200 with a VF-84 Color Scheme. Hoping this one's accurate. Just sent my pre-order in :D

So the paint scheme is "TBC". Assuming it's "TBD" just as the price is, I'd like to know the scheme before pre-ordering. (if VF-84 as mentioned, then great).

**This is a pre-order for the first release of the JSI F-14 Tomcat, Paint scheme and price are TBC. Estimated price around $200.00 + S&H** 1:18 JSI US NAVY Grumman F-14 TOMCAT VF-84 Jolly ROGERS Detailed Cockpit, Opening Canopy, Accurate Panel Lines, Superb Surface Detail, Heavy Plastic Construction, Realistic sliding wings, Retractable Landing Gear, Optional Armament, Authentic Paint Scheme, SCALE: 1:18 SWEPT WING SPAN: 25.5 INCHES, EXTENDED WING SPAN: 42.5 INCHES, LENGTH: 41.5 INCHES

There's no mention of the optional pilots.

You won't be charged until the item is shipped.

MTS is run by a very nice family who I have enjoyed dealing with over the past few years.

For me, $200 will be way too much. The plane is worth it, but I just don't have it in me to fork over that kind of cash for it. I can go for the $80-$100 range like the BBi jets, but I don't think that the F-14 will go that low, except on clearance. I got too many 1:18 planes as it sits.....

I don't like the black in the VF-84 Jolly ROGERS scheme. Rather an all grey bird.

I'll wait until we get more confirmed word on the plane and paintscheme before ordering. $200 is very steep, but in this instance I'll be down for it

It looks like they have not settled on a paint scheme yet.

I already have a Century Wings F-14 VF-84 Jolly Rogers and two Century Wings F-14s in low-visibilty grey---but I would gladly pay $200 for the low-visibilty grey F-14 in the JSI photograph. Apparently, that's been replaced by a VF-84 Jolly Rogers paint scheme.

PAINT SCHEME UPDATE: I AM STILL WAITING ON CONFIRMATION FROM THE AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR ON THE FIRST PAINT SCHEME. I HAD RECEIVED INFO FROM JSI THAT IT WILL BE VF-84 JOLLY ROGER.

LETS HOPE WE CAN GET THEM TO CHANGE THE PAINT ON THE F-15 AND SU-27.

Why would they change the Flanker's scheme? It's either an export model or a license-built Chinese one, and personally if it's isn't that classy light blue camo scheme in Soviet markings then i'm perfectly happy with the scheme they've shown.

Ya'll are gonna screw around and end up getting one of those hi-vis white airshow schemes.
