Judging by the description of features for the F-14. I think the price is going to be above $200 for sure.
Time to see if people are willing to put their money where their mouth is.
Hope no one expects this model to have a price tag below $100.

We'll see.
I hope they don't sell them at a ridiculous price that will be too cheap or too expensive. They need to make money and sell them at the same time. Limited production runs I think are the way to go.
Making capital means more projects and selling them proves the market is there for the subject and price.
Part of me hopes that mass market retail isn't pulled into their plans.

OUT-FRIGGIN-STANDING!!!! Just when I thought the 1:18 hobby was about over, this great news comes out! I'll buy at least one for sure, and I hope everyone else on the board does too. This is our chance to show the etailers and manufacturers that we will put our money where our mouth is and actually buy new product!

So many repaint possibilities. VF-103 in low vis would be nice (Don't be JR hatin', I grew up with "The Final Countdown" even if it was VF-84 at the time!)
God I'd love to have extra ordinance to have a Bombcat.
One thing I hope they get right are the pilots, at a minimum they need to be BBI F-18/16 quality.

Does anyone else notice that on the top picture (the one with VF-154 Black Knights markings) the vertical stabilizers look, well...too vertical?
They don't seem to have the 2-3 degrees of outward cant as required.
I agree with most everyone else. The bottom one looks better. Even if the top one is what's released I will still get one. I think the bottom one is more of a paint master. I don't think it will come with that weathering.
A low vis VF-103 would be bad @$$ but I really would want a 70's era high vis like 1978 VF-84 or VF-41, or VF-2, or late 80's VF-111 before any low vis

Funny thing when I look at the pic of this weathered one I'm not sure they painted the line of demarcation between the two tactical greys in the correct waterline location. The dark on top and lighter shade on bottom seperation falls right in the middle of the fuselage. From almost every pic I've seen of (it looks to be 90's and 2000's era grey shades) low vis Cats during their later years the darker shade on the fuselage creeps almost to the very bottom of the fuselage a little below the Vulcan cannon.
Either way this thing looks sharp. Too bad there's no livery revealed in the picture shown. The only slight hint is that the top of the vertical stabs are painted either black or dark blue. I can only think of late VF-84, early VF-103, VF-101 low vis, or if dark blue low vis VF-143 or VF-213 would have this dark strip of paint on the top of the tails. BUT since this is an "A" model, then that definitely counts out VF-103 Jolly Rogers.
Anyone else think they can pic this possible livery out?
