Small Scale Military Headquarters

I received my Minichamps Kubelwagens yesterday from the motorpool. The pictures do not do these models justice. I ordered one of each type. I thought I'd be repanting the OTTO version, but I was pleasantly suprised, when I opened the box. The Paint Aps do not look as toyish as the catalog pics. The only drawback, is , I'll have amputate the legs of my XDs to get them in the Kubels. Has anyone figured out an easy way to mount an MG on these without damaging the models?

I wouldnt mount a MG as it wasnt very common
