I always wanted a Crew Chief for my P-51 that I have displayed on my desk. You would never see a photo without one. I used the midget jeep driver as one for quite a while and he sucked. Well, if you need a reason to get the BoB driver, this would be the one! No midgets anymore, hehe. He is a perfect Crew Chief:

Just an idea!

Ski - I don't know if you broke down and got the truck yet but the driver has a soft cap and is full size and would fill that roll well in the warmer months when the CC in the Mackinaw would be passing out. Hopefully the trucks hit WM :D

Good idea! I had actually been using a MB Driver as a crew chief as well! I even combined the head of one with a 2nd Armor Div. tanker body (so the figure is in a soft cap & sweater) to act as a matching driver for my Patton figure in a similar outfit.

BOSS HOGG wrote:I'm sorry, but the BOB jeep driver just does not look authentic enough for a crewchief. Being a former fighter crewchief I can truly say that there is not enough grease, hydraulic fluid, tears in his uniform and bloodshot eyes on this figure to convince me!
As a 16 year Crew Chief on heavies, I would have to agree. However, as not to completely ruin the figure, I chose not to weather the fella, hehehe...

Teamski,

Well mate for the UK to have 2 warm months, sems we`re using one up right now,as it`s been a pleasant month so far, rain & Sunshine :D

This week, very nice nice (sunshine temp in the 50s),night time frost (temp around 2,now how`s that for screwing up the animals & plants :D

Though hey if it doesn`t rain in the Summer, well it`s not a British Summer :D

To be honest, the BoB driver makes an awesome medic if you buy the kit from Build-A-Rama.

I think it can best be said that the BoB MB Driver and regular Driver (like that with the WC-63) are good figures for any diorama set "in the rear" or for any US utility vehicle.

Ha!
my BoB driver is a "Jack of All Trades"...
I have him as a gunner, driver, granadier, rifleman, guard, and as a supply clerk!!! ...hahahaha!!!
the figure is the most versatile figure of t he 1/18 line if you have some creativity!

HOOAH!

I use most of my MB drivers to crew the cargo trucks since they don't have all the gear attached to them. :D

When no one else will step up, BOB's your man! :D
