lead testing.....what do you wanna bet that those planes never make it out of the Wests' third world industrial province of China. BCA claims that to be the reason- thank you queen pelosi,et al, for saving our lives and that of our unborn civil servants.

As hard as I've tried, I just can't get excited over the Sakai Zero. IMO, my green A6M is much prettier :D To each his own I guess.

I can't get excited about it either and I have three zeros, the PH and both green ones. To me, it just a boring scheme. I had wanted the Solomon Islands one with the green splotches, but I guess that is not to be. I appreciate the history of the pilot, but to me its just another boring white plane.

Now I DID GET excited with the Solomon scheme. Oh well... :?

Yeah, that scheme kicked major butt! I ordered that one right away just out of fear they would disappear in a snap!

i think we'll still see the solomons scheme.....they went with another white plane first because the BCT PH zero has been long sold out and is quite popular.

I have one on order.
I also still have two Solomon Zeros on order at MTS. That's the one I really wanted.
Like that will happen. Until they say absolutely not, I'll keep my order.

Now a Hiroyoshi Nishizawa "Ace of Aces" would be one of my choice of favorites.

I will believe it when I see it. SO many planes slated to come out. The Hartman F-86, the Solomon Zero, the King Tiger. All of them basically written in stone, even the Pappy Boyington Corsair with ground crew. Ready for pre-order. Been over a year and half now and still waiting. When it shows up, then I will know. Untill then, I will continue not holding my breath.

BBI's website post dated April 27, 2009 (today) announces the 1/18 Saburo Sakai Zero.

Due to the mandatory testing we may see very few if any new stuff make it to our borders unless bbi can get them reclassified as a model or something along those lines.

It's different enough, plus it's an ace's plane. I'll keep my order. It doesn't really excite me that much, but niether did the three 109's or Fockwulf's that came down the pipe looking pretty similar, but I got one of each. (I think I bought an extra 109 to paint though)

Man if these testing restrictions keep toys from making it over here, does that mean that all the toys we've hoarded (that's a strong word) will be worth a fortune as time goes by?

I already have mine out of the box! It's sitting right next to the Solomans Zero, the F-16 Thunderbird, the F-18 aggressor, and the F-16 fallon AFB aggressor scheme!

It's my own collection that I like to call the "ghost squadron". And they are all about as real as thin air!

Seriously- those all all planes I would have bought by now! Oh well.
