Heng Long 1/16 KV-1 up for pre order
The KV-1 is up for pre-order at RC Command, along with some new pics. Detail appears to be quite good, and I'm glad HL gas decided to offer this in green paint, it will make things much easier for people who don't want to do a complete repaint of a sand or grey colored one.

that seems kinda expensive for a hen long, doesn't it? I hope it comes down somewhat in time. I've decided to do 1/16 scale for russian tanks since i've given up anyone making them in 1/18. I made a paper model kv that turned out great but it was a chore to make and i'd like to have several of them, and several t-34's, so 1/16 for russians seems to be the way to go.
I too am glad they made it in green. I wouldn't be too keen on repainting.
Oh yeah, i don't see any mention of a figure coming with it....any news on that?

Same price as the Jagdpanther, although I got mine a few dollars cheaper thru Mato. Don't know about the figure, I'll keep an eye out at RCU for any news though.that seems kinda expensive for a hen long, doesn't it

Like who...? please let me know when you find one at that price. For what it's worth I dont think Raidentech or any of the other cheapo online retailers carries the Jagdpanther, and I doubt they'll have the KV either, but we'll see. Mato is probably the best bet for lowest price, and their ebay outlet RC Dynasty...but they don't have the KV out yet, probably in a couple weeks. There are several RC etailers that will have it at least $30-$40 cheaper once they are released

RC Dynasty has the Jagdpanther for $99. Matomart has the Jagdpanther for $109. Thats not the same price as the KV-1 as you said. The KV-1 should be similiarly priced as their Jagdpanther at those etailers when they are released.ostketten wrote:Like who...? please let me know when you find one at that price. I believe this is as close to dark yellow that is available right now. There are some etailers who offer this version. Most don't.

The KV is the same price as the Jagdpanther at the site I listed... RC Command, I never said it was the same price as Mato, in fact I said I got it cheaper thru Mato... you need to read a bit more carefully...Thats not the same price as the KV-1 as you said.

I just read very carefully. You just said "same price as the Jadgpanther". You did not imply where it was the same price, which you have now clarified. You said you got the Jagdpanther for a few dollars cheaper. The jagdpanther is $109 at Mato and $155 at RC Command. I realize $46 is just a few dollars to some members, but not to me. Thats right at a full 1/3 higher price. Which seems a little strange since RC Command is otherwise pretty much in line pricewise with their competitors as far as HL tanks go.ostketten wrote:Same price as the Jagdpanther, although I got mine a few dollars cheaper thru Mato.that seems kinda expensive for a hen long, doesn't it
Panther F may be correct about the price being set due to upgraded electronics. That will probably make a big difference to those buying it for the RC aspects and may make the price stay at a higher level. Its just that at first glance, my reaction is no different from some other members posts. The price seemed high.
I'd still buy from Bill right here in the states, rather than from Canada, after hearing all the horror stories about broken tanks and smashed packaging and nothing being done to rectify the problem, except at the customers expense.
I don't know what scbvideoboys exact problem is, but if he feels he's right he should contact the attorney general in the state in which he purchased the tank from, if he was promised replacement parts. Instead of talking about his problems here.

RC Command charges the same price for either the IR or Airsoft versions plus $20 shipping ($175 total), Matomart charges $10 more ($119) for their IR version plus $29 shipping ($148 total)... so comparing those two the difference is $27, not $46....I realize $46 is just a few dollars to some members

Gee like everybody else here complains about service, price, quality and lack of new items from manufactuers and etailers at some time or other.Panther F wrote:I'd still buy from Bill right here in the states, rather than from Canada, after hearing all the horror stories about broken tanks and smashed packaging and nothing being done to rectify the problem, except at the customers expense.

Let alone all the other BS people talk about here...
Fact is I'm sure RC Command guy is a member here and if he reads about some issues perhaps it will jump start a response. Fact is I have had no problems with any of the stuff bought from overseas and it's quite extensive and the first time I buy and paid MORE from RCC, I get the wrong paint scheme (gray not camo) and the thing smoked 30 seconds after I opened it.

Fact is you're wrong..... Bill (RCC's owner) has never been a member here, but try RCU, he's well known and respected over there, and fact is man... I find it very hard to believe he won't answer your emails, I've dealt with him on numerous occasions and he always replies quickly, usually within 24 hrs., so I'm starting to think maybe there is more to this story than we're hearing here....Fact is I'm sure RC Command guy is a member here
