Small Scale Military Headquarters

I just picked up 2 Admiral german F-86 Sabres but I am thinking of repainting them to USAF sabres circa 1952. Which is the best silver paint to use? I have used Testors silver spray paint on a 21st P-51 which didnt come out too bad, but that was a few years ago. Any suggestions??

Tamiya and Model Masters both do Alum in their spray cans and I working as a base coat like Tamiya, then I go back with Vallejo air in the brush, then Tamiya and Vallejo for dry brushing.
