Area-21 just posted that XD tanks, vehicles and figures are heading to Walmart shelves. JOY!!! Granted, having to go to Walmart more is not high on my list, but this will be great. I know a few have mentioned already seeing Panzers and Halftracks. I really hope the WC63 shows up.
And figures - I'm giggling with girlish glee!

Sounds like Wal Mart Distribution just took a turn for the better. Simply the fact that we recieved a semi-official notice about it on the Area21 site is a landmark!

Aparently they're WWII Battle of the Bulge and US Marines figures - according to a post by boardmember wise690, on page 6 of the Panzer IV Discussion thread (at the bottom).

ALL OF THE ABOVE! minus Sahara which is soon to follow. But eventually all action figures that are availabe now will be on the shelves! Including the new Japaneese Figures! Look for news on that front this weekend. Who wants to see some Japaneese figure close-ups! I am in the process of downloading them off my camera tomorrow afternoon.

Any idea on how the items are going to be priced at Wal-Mart? I assume the tanks will be the usual $40, but what about the other stuff?

What about those Walmarts that never carried the 21st line? Will all Walmarts sell XD, 32X and 1/6th stuff? I know of 2 in my AO that have never stocked anything from 21st.

Wow

BOSS HOGG wrote:Well, this may be the wrong place to post this, but 2 days ago I bought a load of stuff at our local Wally world here in upper East Tennessee. I purchased a couple of Panzer IV's for $40 each, a couple of BOB halftracks $22.76, Walker Bulldog $22.76, three different Pattons $4.85, all the marines, BOB figures, 2-88's a Jagdpanzer $15 each, and two playsets $16. They also had P51, Stuka, and P38 pilots. We usually get stuff last.

21st must LOVE you!!

Though I'd probably go just as crazy if I saw the stuff on the shelves and at those prices. The Bulldog for 22 is amazing - whether or not it fits in anywhere, it's still some of their best work.
If this is any indication of the reception XD will receive on the shelves than we can expect good things to come boys

No new 1:18 at my local WM yet this morning. Couple of nice 1:32 pieces (German 88mm flak gun and Jagdpanther), but that's for another forum!
Maybe in a few weeks....

It's official here in DE. ALL XD and 32x stuff have showed here!!
I found the US HT, Bulldog and MK IV on an upper shelf today. I snapped up one of each. I will wait for a schurtzen Panzer for the second MK IV, hehehe......
The numbers of vehicles are really reasonable. I haven't seen the 20 of one type that I have seen in the past. Yeah, no sales, but the distribution is WAY better so far in this early period. Well done WM, for the first time, I am seeing a variety of stuff that I used to see at TRU back in 2001...........

I drove around last night and bought myself a whole set of Uncle Sam's Monkeys 'n Clowns (USMC). I found the figures and some 32x stuff but I have yet to happen upon a HT or hanomag. Happy hunting to you all, time for me to go mow the in-law's yard and then have take out chinese

5 Walmarts the last two days - 5 strikeouts. Nothing but a few P47s and FW190s. I hope it doesn't take as long to get the figures and vehicles as it did the P47s.

All I'm gonna say is that this is the news I have longed for now for quite some time. Figures at Wal-Mart means JJ = a happy shopper. Figures are what should be anchoring the line, and hopefully mean a brighter future for XD stuff.
Can't wait to get army building. Gonna be an expensive year what with me buying a ROTS army builder every time I'm in a store too.

agreed

I also agree that figures are the main foundation of any line!
i just hope that the new stuff shows here in Florida soon!
I striked-out in 2 Wal-Marts yesterday!
oh well,
soon, soon!
HOOAH!

I think Aircraft are the current foundation of the lines actually.

Here in Vancouver Washington(right across the Columbia River from Portland Ore.) Nada, zilch, zip. Only bubbletops and 190's. Weakest selection in a long time. Bring on the figs and armor!
